This week, our high school counseling team welcomed recent alumni back to campus to share their university experiences with our eleventh graders. It was a highly reflective and helpful conversation. The alumni shared great advice on navigating the college application process and emphasized the importance of finding a campus environment that truly aligns with your values. They reminded our students that the first year away from home is an incredible time for self-discovery and making choices that pave the way for future success.

First day! Welcome to all students! What inspired you today?

Tomorrow is the first day of school! Today we invited new students and their families to tour campus, meet teachers, and visit with each other. We want our new students to feel like they belong, even before their first class. We also want our rising sixth and ninth graders to feel confident about the year ahead – their orientation activities were designed to smooth the transition. Love the energy!

As an elementary PE teacher, Rich Lunardo believes movement is important to our health and well-being. He believes developing the mind is also important to our health and well-being. Watching his own kids grow up keeps him thinking about the unique needs of each developmental stage – he brings this understanding to the elementary school afterschool activities program by scaffolding activities that build physical, mental, and social-emotional skills.
