Substitute English Teacher Wanted

Date: Sept. 18th - October. 13th. (4 weeks)
*You will watch me teach on the 18th and will be on your own from the 19th.

Schedule:
Monday 1:10-4:20 (public school in Aju)
Tuesday 2:00-5:00 (public school in Aju)
Wednesday 1:10-4:20 (public school in Aju)
Thursday 2:30-5:20 (English Academy in Suwol)
Friday 2:30-5:30 (English academy in Aju)
*addresses and instructions will be provided

Work Time: 14 hours/week*
*Chusok vacation is on Oct. 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, so no class on those days. 14+14+3+11 = 42 total work hours

Location: Geoje (Suwol & Aju)

Pay: 20,000-40,000/hr (depending on experience)

Total Pay: 840,000 - 1,680,000 (depending on experience)

Requirements:
-You must have an F6, E2, or D10 visa. Visa sponsorship is available but the teacher is required to pay for the costs of getting a visa (about $100 for the unnecessary health check and about $100 for the visa). I will spend the time to process the paperwork.
-You do not need to be a native English speaker, but you must be as fluent as a native.
-You must have some teaching experience and have the ability to engage students in fun and meaningful English practice.

Seeking Joyfully Engaging Teachers, University Pay, University Hours, No Paperwork, No Prep, No Desk Warming, Elementary Fun

I'm looking for 1 or 2 full-time native English teacher to start in March. The jobs are located on Geoje Island. It is 1 hour south of Busan.

Payment:
Base: 2.0 - 2.1 million/month
Hourly: 30,000-40,000/hr (depending on school)
The more you work the more you get paid.

Expectations:
- Working hours 1:00-4:00 / 1:00-5:00 (depending on enrollment)
- Work more hours = Get more pay (additional work provided if desired)
- Base teaching hours 15-20 hours/week.
- No Office Hours
- 5 Days vacation in summer and 5 days vacation in winter. Possible to get 1-2 months of unpaid time off with a substitute.
- Housing is negotiable and will meet the needs of the teacher. 25,000,000 deposit or 250,000 won stipend provided
- 50% health insurance and 50% pension will also be provided if required.
- E2 visa sponsorship
- Preference is given to those that desire a long-term commitment.
- Couples are welcome.
- Work locations will be public schools and private academies.

Qualifications:
- Native speaker of English
- Must be located in Korea
- Bachelor's degree or above
- TEFL/TESL/TESOL/CELTA certification (preferred)
- 1+ years of teaching experience at Korean English academies, after school programs, or public schools.
- Ability to engage students in fun meaningful English activities and games.

Message from the current Teacher:
I have been teaching at these 2 Part-Time Jobs for the past 3 years and there is a reason why it has been that long, it's a great situation. This set up gives me a lot of flexibility to get things done throughout the mornings and there's plenty of time for breaks. Both schools provide books to teach and in Jisepo the kids enjoy making crafts or playing games for special events like Chuseok, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. We decorate the whole class and sometimes I bake something too (no obligation). I also have the flexibility to take on tutoring sessions. These fill the holes in my schedule. You will not be asked to work more hours that you can handle successfully. You are however asked to pull your own weight, which requires a person that is mature and responsible enough to take care of themselves (housing, insurance, pension). Since I work part-time, there is a lot of flexibility in what I am allowed to teach in class. Also, when I found myself in need of a vacation I just found a replacement/substitute teacher and I was free to take some time off, within reason.

All in all it's a position that I would recommend to anyone that has experience teaching and is independent.
