ππ Educational Program at Hagala Maha Vidyalaya , Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka
Under the NRF Project conducted through the collaboration of Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU) and Ocean University of Sri Lanka (OCU), an educational lecture program was successfully held at Hagala Maha Vidyalaya, Polonnaruwa.
The session was conducted by Project Director Professor Sun Young Lim, who shared valuable knowledge and insights with the students and school community. The program aimed to inspire young minds, promote educational development, and strengthen international academic collaboration between South Korea and Sri Lanka.
We sincerely thank the school administration, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to making this program a success.

We are pleased to share that on Monday, March 16, 2026, the Ocean University of Sri Lanka received a generous donation of laboratory equipment under the Coastal Resources Management Capacity Building Project of the Ocean University of Sri Lanka (OCUSL) and Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU).
This donation will greatly enhance the research and academic capabilities of the university students, strengthening the commitment to excellence in marine and coastal studies.

Over the past 3 weeks, this program has been a perfect fusion of academic learning, cultural exchange, and unforgettable experiences from technical visits and research sessions to Hanbok Day and yacht sailing.

As part of the 3rd CRM Student Invitation Training Program β 2025, our 15 participants had the wonderful opportunity to explore Korean heritage during a special Gyeongju Tour.
Wearing the traditional Hanbok, students walked through the historic streets of Gyeongju the ancient capital of Korea soaking in the rich cultural atmosphere and timeless beauty of this historic city.
The vibrant colors and graceful styles of Hanbok made the experience even more meaningful, blending tradition, learning, and unforgettable memories.
