πŸŽ‰πŸŒŠ GRAND FINALE: Ocean Keepers in Action! πŸŒŠπŸŽ‰

What an EPIC final day at PEEK’s Ocean Keepers Summer Camp! πŸ’™

We were honored to welcome Beck Ms Joyce Chang and her team from ICDF Taiwan Technical Mission, who helped us kick off camp, and today returned to help weigh the plastic bottles collected by our campers in the Save the Ocean Challenge ♻️.

πŸ† Drumroll please…
The 11–12 age group came out on top, collecting a whopping 59.9 lbs of plastic! Together, the entire camp collected an impressive 119.25 lbs! πŸŒπŸ‘ Our presenters were blown away by the effort and commitment! All campers were rewarded for their contributions with food, treats, and prizes. πŸ½οΈπŸ§πŸ•

Then we turned up the fun! From the bounce house and trampoline to intense rounds of musical chairs, the day was bursting with energy, laughter, and joy! 🎢🏰πŸͺ‘

This year’s camp reminded us all:
βœ… Kids CAN make a difference.
βœ… Teamwork = impact.
βœ… Learning can be powerful and fun!

Thank you to every camper, parent, volunteer, and partner who made these 10 days unforgettable.

Until next summer… 🌞🌍🐠

🐟πŸ”ͺ From Ocean to Plate - Our Ocean Keepers in Action! πŸŒŠπŸ‘£

Today, a group of our campers visited the Old Road Fisheries, where they got first-hand experience in what happens after the fish are caught. They cleaned fish, prepared them for sale, and got an inside look at how the local fishing industry works. πŸŽ£πŸ’Ό

Being an Ocean Keeper isn’t just about protecting the sea; it’s also about understanding it, respecting the people who depend on it, and learning how to take care of it sustainably.

Our campers saw for themselves how important it is to keep the ocean healthy, because healthy oceans support healthy communities. πŸ’™πŸŒ

We’re so proud of their curiosity, courage, and commitment!

πŸ’πŸ’š Turtle Talk with Sanne! πŸ’šπŸ’

Today our campers were treated to an eye-opening session with Sanne from the St. Kitts Sea Turtle Monitoring Network! 🐒🌊

She shared fascinating facts about sea turtles…from how they nest to the challenges they face in our changing environment. Campers learned how littering, bright lights, and even building too close to beaches can stop turtles from returning to lay their eggs. πŸ–πŸš«

It was a powerful reminder that every action matters and that protecting our beaches means protecting the turtles’ homes too!

Thank you, Sanne, for inspiring our young World Changers to care for our coastlines and lead the way in conservation. πŸŒπŸ’™

πŸŒŠπŸ’™ Ocean Keepers in Action! πŸ’™πŸŒŠ

Yesterday our campers truly embodied what it means to be Ocean Keepers!

Originally, we had planned a beach cleanup, but when we saw the amount of litter around the schoolyard, we realized the lesson starts right where we are. Our kids sprang into action, collecting trash with heart and hustle. 🌍πŸ’ͺ🏽 Because every piece of litter picked up here is one less item making its way to the ocean. πŸ’™β™»οΈ

As a reward, they got to dive into our Water Day fun! πŸ’¦ From balloon relays to splash games, the laughter was nonstop. And this year, we took it up a notch by introducing reusable balloons! πŸŽˆβœ… Eco-friendly, fun, and here to stay in all our future events. 🌿

Thank you to all our amazing campers, volunteers, and supporters. Each day has been full of learning, laughter, and lasting lessons. Let’s keep the spirit alive - protect the land, protect the sea!

🌊✨ Week One: DONE! ✨🌊

Just like that, the first week of the PEEK Ocean Keepers Summer Camp 2025 is in the books, and what a splash-tastic week it was! πŸ πŸšπŸ’™

Our campers dived deep into learning about the wonders of the ocean, the importance of protecting marine life, and how even small actions like recycling can make big waves. πŸŒβ™»οΈπŸŒŠ

From exciting lessons and creative crafts to team challenges and new friendships, this week has been filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable moments. πŸ’‘πŸŽ¨πŸ€

A huge THANK YOU to our awesome volunteers, guest presenters, and every parent and guardian for getting the kids here on time and ready to shine. πŸ’›

We can’t wait to see what Week Two has in store… Stay tuned and keep riding the wave with us! πŸŒŠπŸ‘€
