When we use Present Simple?

We use the present simple for actions that are a routine, a fact, a scheduled event, or a state of being.

1) Habits and Routines
Use the present simple for actions you do regularly or repeatedly. These actions are not happening at the exact moment of speaking, but they are part of a daily, weekly, or yearly routine.
_ I drink coffee every morning.
_ She goes to the gym on Mondays.
_ They don't work on weekends.

2) General Truths and Facts
This tense is used for things that are always true or are considered facts. These can be scientific facts, universal truths, or general observations.
_ The Earth revolves around the sun.
_ Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.
_ Cats have four legs.

3) Scheduled Events in the Future
Even though it's a "present" tense, the present simple can be used for future events that are part of a fixed timetable or schedule, like public transport, movie screenings, or class times.
_ The bus leaves at 8:30 AM.
_ The movie starts in ten minutes.
_ Our flight arrives at 3:00 PM.

4) States of Being and Conditions 🤔
Use the present simple for verbs that describe a state rather than an action. These are often called "stative verbs" and include verbs of emotion, possession, and thought.
_ She loves chocolate. (Emotion)
_ He has a new car. (Possession)
_ I believe in second chances. (Thought)
_ The soup tastes delicious. (Condition)
