UP VINTA IN CAMBODIA!

About the UP VINTA Program
The University of the Philippines System, under its Charter of 2008 (RA 9500), as the only national university in the country, is mandated to perform unique and distinctive functions in higher education and development. Among the primary roles of the University is to ensure that quality higher education becomes accessible for all Filipinos, both within and outside the country, for their holistic upliftment, contributing to national development.
UP VINTA is a program that aims to connect overseas Filipino workers to continuing education and skills development opportunities by providing access to UP-quality education. Through the delivery of various courses from across the UP System, delivered through open and distance e-learning (online) and other modalities, Filipinos can pursue learning anytime, anywhere.

Bringing UP VINTA to Cambodia
With the support and assistance of the Embassy, and TLAGC, UP VINTA seeks to engage the Filipino community in Cambodia—many of whom work as educators and factory workers—and introduce them to learning opportunities through open and distance e-learning. UP VINTA focuses on helping overseas Filipino workers gain practical knowledge and skills that can open up better career options. The goal is to make sure that while they work abroad, they are also preparing for long-term stability—whether through safer and more rewarding employment overseas or by building a pathway to reintegration and stable work back home.
Through this collaboration, UPOU, the Philippine Embassy and TLAGC, aim to provide accessible and relevant programs that support the professional growth of Filipinos in Cambodia.

Key Activity: UP VINTA Launching and Open Learning Experience
The launch of the UP VINTA Program in Cambodia, in partnership with the Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh and TLAGC will be held through a two-part activity:

2. Breakout Sessions featuring three booths:
