We opened the month of April by celebrating Khmer New Year and the richness of Cambodian culture- a time filled with joy, tradition, and togetherness. It was also a special opportunity for our community to pause, reconnect, and enjoy meaningful moments with loved ones.

April has been an active month of growth and change at MISPP. We were happy to welcome back our Khmer teacher, Teacher Pich, from her maternity leave, and to introduce our new team member, Teacher Kheta, who has been a wonderful addition to our Reception class. We hope everyone’s month has been as joyful, meaningful, and fruitful as our own. 💛

Creative and sensory exploration plays a vital role in early childhood education. It encourages children to express their ideas and emotions in multiple ways, especially before they have fully developed verbal language skills. As they experiment with different materials and tools, they strengthen fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

Equally important, these experiences nurture curiosity, imagination, and confidence. When children are given the freedom to explore and create, they learn to make choices, take risks in a safe environment, and develop resilience when things don’t go as planned. These are foundational life skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
