🚨 CARELESSNESS IS DRAGGING DOWN THE QUALITY OF THE SEA GAMES. 🇹🇭

SEA Games 33 was expected to be Thailand’s chance to deliver an Olympic-standard regional event. But just days into the competition, the reality has been far from the promises — leaving fans across ASEAN disappointed.

Despite Tourism and Sports Minister Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn calling the opening ceremony “spectacular” and “unprecedented”, what unfolded on 9 December at Rajamangala Stadium was the opposite. Within just 2 hours, the ceremony turned into what many described as an organisational disaster:

❌ Wrong regional map displayed
❌ LED screen malfunctions throughout
❌ Lip-syncing exposed during live performance
❌ Drone show displayed the WRONG medal tally (MC said 574🥇 but drones showed 547)
❌ No fireworks

And while fans were still processing the chaotic opening, Day 1 delivered another shock — Cambodia announcing the complete withdrawal of its athletes due to border tensions with Thailand. 🇰🇭❌

Even worse, Day 1 of competition brought even more drama:

⚠️ Cambodia withdrew all athletes due to escalating border tensions with Thailand — an unprecedented moment in SEA Games history.
⚠️ Multiple officiating controversies erupted in combat sports, with accusations of biased or unclear judging.
⚠️ Technical errors continued: flags, country names, team visuals… all repeatedly displayed incorrectly.

Excuses about “budget cuts” do not justify such poor preparation.
This isn’t just about Thailand’s reputation — it's damaging the credibility of the entire SEA Games and ASEAN sporting unity.

SEA Games is supposed to showcase solidarity, professionalism and regional pride. Instead, SEA Games 33 is quickly becoming an example of how carelessness can overshadow the athletes and the spirit of competition.

ASEAN deserves better. 💛🌏💪

Thailand: Not Self-Defense, but a Planned Invasion

Thailand claims that it is acting in self-defense against Cambodia. However, this justification is a pretext designed to mislead the public. Evidence shows that Thai forces launched a planned offensive against Cambodia—not to protect Thai territory or sovereignty, but to carry out a coordinated military operation.

Since 7 December 2025, Thai military forces have opened fire on Cambodian territory at multiple locations along the border and have used heavy weapons in these attacks. Thai troops employed various tactics as part of a clearly prepared plan, fully supported by modern military equipment.

Thai forces crossed into Cambodian territory, causing damage to buildings and resulting in civilian casualties within just a few days. They were equipped with destructive weapons, including F-16 fighter jets, tanks, artillery shells, and su***de drones, which were used to destroy residential property. Shelling and gunfire targeted areas near civilian homes, ancient temples, and populated border communities. This behavior cannot be described as self-defense—it is an invasion built on fabricated justifications.

Listening only to official Thai statements conceals the truth. The reality becomes clear only when one examines the situation on the ground. Thailand has also coordinated with certain media outlets and official social media pages to spread blame and shift responsibility onto Cambodia.

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul reportedly stated that Thailand had ended negotiations with Cambodia and cancelled the peace agreement. When questioned, he allegedly ordered the Thai military to “attack at full speed according to the plan until the other side is defeated.”

All of these actions demonstrate that the attacks were prepared in advance. While proclaiming to the international community that Cambodia initiated the conflict, Thailand has conducted operations that amount to war crimes. This tactic illustrates a deliberate attempt to invade Cambodian territory under the false claim of self-defense in order to seize land.
