DEAR FELLOW STUDENTS AND MY STUDENT COUNCIL TEAM,

As you know that I have been serving as the President of the Student Council for the past two years.Now I am leaving the ISM IUK Family FOR MY BETTER FUTURE and it is time for the selection of a new president. The university administration is preparing the criterla for the future President and wil announce it soon.

In the past two years, this role never felt like a job for me, the work never felt like work, and I simply did not feel like doing anything else. It was the last thing in my mind before bed and the first thing that got me to jump out of my bed in the morning because I absolutely loved it.

Over the past years,we have accomplished so much together. From organizing events and activities that brought us together, to advocating for the needs and concerns of our student body. We have truly made the difference in the lives of our fellow students.

I want to take a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of my fellow council members. Your tireless ettorts and unwavering commitment to our cause have made the past years a success.I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside such a passionate and talented group of individuals.

To my fellow students, thank you for placing your trust in me and for allowing me to serve as your voice. It has been an honor to represent your interests and work towards creating a campus.

As I pass the torch to the next student council President whoever it may be,l am confident that they will continue to build on the progress we have made during our term and take our campus community to new heights.

I did not get a chance to meet all of you but know that I will always be available.Perhaps, no longer in University but on social media channels as your friend, your supporter and your ally for whenever you need me.

I am very fortunate and blessed to have served as your president. It was a tremendous honor, and I will cherish all the memories. I wish you all the best in the future.

THYROID DISEASE AWARENESS MONTH

🔺 January is Thyroid Awareness Month,so it’s the perfect time to help you understand more about your thyroid gland.

🔺 First things first,what exactly is your thyroid? It’s one of your glands (a type of organ) and it’s located in the lower front part of your neck.Small and butterfly-shaped,its job is to make important hormones that are carried to tissues throughout your body.These hormones help you use energy and stay warm and they keep your heart,brain,other organs and muscles working properly.

🔺 People with hyperthyroidism have an overactive thyroid.Basically,your thyroid gland makes too much of one of the hormones.This can speed up your metabolism,which can cause unwanted weight loss and a rapid or irregular heartbeat.

🔺 Those with hypothyroidism,on the other hand, have underactive thyroids.Your thyroid gland doesn’t make enough hormones for what your body needs.As a result,your metabolism slows down and you might feel tired easily,have trouble tolerating cold temperatures and gain weight.
