International MBA Scholarships in Switzerland, 2017

International Institute for Management Development (IMD) is pleased to offer approximately CHF500’000 scholarships to study MBA program. International applicants can apply for these scholarships.

The aim of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) MBA is to enable and encourage academically able students from any nationality. IMD’s vision is to be the best in the world at enabling the development of successful global leaders – individuals, teams, and organisations.

The IMD MBA is designed to ensure that applicant’s master the fundamentals needed in business today and increase their self-awareness so that they can confidently select adequate responses to business challenges worldwide.

Applicants must have bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.

The maximum financial aid awarded per admitted candidate is CHF 65,000.

IMD offers a variety of MBA scholarships and applicants may apply to several simultaneously, however only one scholarship can be awarded per candidate. Scholarships are granted subject to nomination by the scholarship selection committee, acceptance into the program and confirmation of your intention to participate in the program by paying the advance deposit of CHF 15,000.

IMD MBA Future Leaders Scholarships (x 3) CHF 30,000

For applicants who demonstrate exceptional leadership understanding.

Submit a 750 word essay on:
It has been said that success in business requires flexibility to be responsive, but also commitment to a recognized set of values. Discuss using your personal and professional experience.
IMD MBA Alumni Scholarships (x 5) CHF 30,000

One scholarship is awarded to a citizen, but not necessarily current resident, of each region: Asia, Africa/Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Western Europe/North America/Oceania

Demonstrate financial need by completing our Financial Aid Application and submit a 1,000 word essay on:
Identify one issue in your region / country which you consider a priority to address. Why would you choose this issue? How would you, as a business leader, personally address it and ensure your action has a sustainable impact?
Essays should be personal and visionary, and include a clear description of how the solution could be implemented in a sustained manner.
Nestlé Scholarship for Women (x 1) CHF 25,000

Preference is given to women from developing countries*.

Stewart Hamilton Scholarship (x 1) CHF 20,000

For applicants who demonstrate an understanding of corporate governance and corporate responsibility.

Demonstrate financial need by completing our Financial Aid Application, read the case study ‘Hollinger and the Downfall of Conrad Black’ and submit a 750 word essay on:
What failed in the Hollinger corporate governance system and what are your personal learnings from this case study?
IMD MBA Merit Scholarships (x 5) CHF 10,000

Awarded at the discretion of IMD’s Admissions Committee at the time of offer to applicants who demonstrated exceptional qualities throughout the admissions process.

IMD reserves the right not to award a scholarship if the criteria are not met to the satisfaction of the jury/sponsors.

Young Peacebuilders Forum in the Hague, Netherlands, 2016

UNOY Peacebuilders is a network of youth peace organisations from around the world. We currently have 70 member organisations in 45 countries. We have an office in the Hague coordinating the network, with four members of staff. We also have an International Steering Group, representing the different member organisations around the world, and a board based in the Netherlands.

UNOY Peacebuilders’ annual Young Peacebuilders Forum will take place in The Hague from 20 to 24 September. The YPF will bring together 45 young peacebuilders to learn from each other’s experiences across the world and to develop joint strategies to strengthen youth participation in peace and security policies.

The theme of the Young Peacebuilders Forum 2016 is Youth, Policy and Peace. We will explore how we can ensure that our needs and experiences are reflected in inclusive policies that enable youth to play an active role in building peace and countering violent extremism

Participants must be aged between 18 and 30 and fluent in English. Both UNOY Peacebuilders member organisations and non-members are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to participants who:

have experience in the fields related to peacebuilding and conflict transformation
are currently active in a youth peace organisation
are committed to multiply the outcomes of the activity in their own work
The selection of participants will be based on applicant’s’ motivation and experience, as well as gender balance and geographical diversity.

Due to funding restrictions the majority of participants will come from Europe. However we encourage non-European peacebuilders to apply as we will have some positions available for non-European participants.

Accommodation and food are fully covered apart from a participation fee of € 50/person. Travel costs will be covered by 70%. The forum is supported by the Council of Europe.

Мониторинг проекта TEMPUS «Развитие и совершенствование Администрации Университетов по Международным Делам» - UNIVIA
24 мая 2016 года, на базе Кыргызского Экономического Университета в рамках проекта TEMPUS UNIVIA, прошла встреча г-жи Анны Спангемахер, менеджера программы по Центральной Азии Европейского Исполнительного Агентства (EACEA) и г-жи Гульнары Чокушевой, Национального Координатора Эразмус+ с академическим и административным составом проекта двух Кыргызских вузов: КЭУ и МУК. Целью визита был мониторинг текущего состояния проекта и результаты его реализации.
Напомним, что данный проект нацелен на создание совершенно нового отдела внешних связей (ОВС) в партнерских вузах с оптимальным и гибким механизмом администрации для улучшения деятельности Отдела внешних связей как неотъемлемой части общей вузовской администрации. Предполагается использование преимуществ и наилучший опыт, извлеченный из деятельности ОВС для повышения качества высшего образования предлагаемого партнерским вузом, и превратить эти вузы в надежных партнеров для престижных международных и европейских вузов.
Конкретной целью проекта является учреждение специального механизма основанного, как на Европейских, так и на собственных образовательных традициях, которые помогут партнерским вузам сделать более четкой миссию и задачи ОВС; создать международную образовательную среду с разнообразием студентов и преподавателей, стать вузов с глобальными связями, включиться во всемирную сеть вузов, быть в рейтинговом списке международно-признанных университетов и т.д.
По специальному приглашению в качестве эксперта на мероприятии приняла участие г-жа Бактыгуль Каламбекова, экс-чрезвычайный и полномочный посол Кыргызской Республики в Великобритании и Северной Ирландии, Профессор-консультант по международному сотрудничеству КЭУ. Также на встрече приняли участие руководители и специалисты международного отдела, представители кафедр по международной деятельности и студенты волонтеры с каждого университета.
Итоги мониторинга были подведены и озвучены на месте менеджером программы по Центральной Азии Европейского Исполнительного Агентства (EACEA) и национальным координатором программы Эразмус+, а также были отмечены положительные стороны проекта и даны рекомендации.

30-31 мая 2016 года состоялся семинар, посвященный вопросам развития программ PhD в Кыргызской Республике при поддержке Национального офиса Эразмус + в Кыргызстане.

Workshop in Vilnius 22-26th August, 2016
Within the project of Investing in Entrepreneurial Universities in Caucasus and Central Asia (EUCAINVEST) the selected participants from universities of Georgia and Kyrgyzstan will be participating in intensive training course which will be held in Vilnius 22-26th August, 2016.
Overall the training programme will consist of 5 days’ workshops for academic staff on how to use teaching and learning materials to enhance active learning and entrepreneurial skills. Series of pedagogic training sessions and other methods will be presented in order to introduce and incorporate new participatory teaching methods into the delivery of courses at GE and KG HEIs.
