St Winefride's Convent School, Swansea Did you go 'ear? It ceased to be in the 70s (I think) when the fate of catholic convent schools was going to (burn in) hell in a handbasket.

SCHOOLS OF THE ETHEREAL PERPETUATION; schools that only existed in your worse nightmares; schools that you remember but no-one else does; schools that have morphed into other schools or institutions or have been pulled down... The Bishop Vaughan school probably made it redundant and the shortage of nuns, caused by irish women not getting into the habit...summat loike that...
