ONE DAY, OUR GRADE 9 LEARNERS WILL LEAVE OUR CLASSROOMS.

What will they carry with them?

Not just knowledge from books, but confidence, responsibility, independence and the ability to handle real life. 💙💛

During their Agriculture & Nutrition lesson, our Grade 9 learners got their hands busy with a simple but meaningful life skill — washing clothes. 🧺

And behind that simple activity was something much bigger:

Learning to work.
Learning to care.
Learning to take responsibility.
Learning to work together.

Because at Thika Bell House Academy & Junior School, we believe education is not simply about preparing learners for the next examination.

It is about preparing them for life.

Who says career dreams have to wait until adulthood?

Our Grade 4 learners explored the fascinating world of health and medical professions—discovering that there is much more to medicine than simply being a doctor.

From paediatricians and surgeons to dentists, cardiologists, radiologists and pharmacists, our learners are beginning to discover the many ways they can make a difference in people's lives.

Every masterpiece has a beginning.

What started as hundreds of tiny colourful beads soon became beautiful handcrafted creations—thanks to patience, creativity, teamwork and imagination.

At Thika Bell House Academy & Junior School, learning is hands-on. Our learners don't just create beautiful art; they develop problem-solving skills, concentration, confidence and an entrepreneurial mindset.

🛒 Learning Beyond the Classroom Walls!
Today, our young learners stepped out of the classroom and into the real world...
Not for a holiday. Not for fun alone.
But to learn.
With their teacher's guidance, they planned, counted money, made purchasing decisions, waited patiently in line, communicated politely, and returned with smiles that said,
"We did it ourselves!" ❤️
This is what Competency-Based Education is all about.

Sometimes the greatest classroom has no four walls.

📚🛒 LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM... PREPARING FOR LIFE!
Education is not only about reading books or passing exams.
Sometimes, the greatest lessons happen in the supermarket aisle.
Our PP2 learners recently stepped into a real shopping environment where they learned to:
✅ Make thoughtful choices.
✅ Compare different products.
✅ Handle money with confidence.
✅ Calculate prices.
✅ Receive and check the correct change.
✅ Queue patiently.
✅ Respect others.
✅ Speak politely.
✅ Build confidence and independence.
These may look like simple shopping moments...
But to a child, they are life skills that will remain useful for years to come.
At Thika Bell House Academy & Junior School, we believe that every learning experience should prepare children not just for the next class.....but for life itself.

Some of our learners have grown so tall that standing next to their teacher has become a fun challenge! 😄
But at Thika Bell House Academy & Junior School, we know that true greatness isn't measured in centimetres...
It's measured by: 📚 Character. 💡 Knowledge. ❤️ Kindness. 🌟 Confidence. 🎯 Purpose.
Today they're among the tallest learners in our school.

At Thika Bell House Academy & Junior School, learning goes beyond textbooks—our learners gain practical skills that prepare them for life.
As part of their Grade 8 CBC Agriculture & Nutrition KNEC Project, our learners established a thriving kitchen garden using innovative sack gardening techniques to promote food security, healthy nutrition, and sustainable farming.
Today, we're proud to celebrate the fruits of their dedication. Their garden is flourishing, and they are already harvesting fresh, nutritious vegetables! 👏
Through this project, our learners have developed invaluable life skills in: 🌱 Agriculture 🤝 Teamwork 💼 Entrepreneurship 🌍 Environmental stewardship 💚 Responsibility
