None of the trees from the 1960s are here now. Those came with the land, had been planted by one Gachau wa Dhamayo.

Several trees planted in the 1970s by our father, Joseph Kariuki are still here. All of them sprouts from the earlier cut trees.

A serious logging of the trees took place in the early 2000,

Several trees planted by our father in the 1980s have survived to this day and I intend to keep as many of them as possible.

This corner on the left as you face north was designated by father to be a tree garden.

It is here that father managed his tree nursary. Its beneficiaries evidently being the Lower Sagana primary school and Sagana secondary school.

Another beneficiary is Mama Sara and her neighbors who were great friends of dad
