Nyeri Kindergarten The Nyeri Kindergarten aims to provide a warm and conducive environment where children enjoy learning.

The Kindergarten is founded upon the principle of value-creating humanistic education, one where both the programme and teacher-student relationship are focused on developing each child to his or her fullest potential. We believe each child has the inner-motivated power to learn and we commit our teachers as the best external environment to help our children bring forth such natural zest for learn

ing. Our daily program includes class assembly; class lessons; small group activities; music and movement; playground activities; art and craft; and snack time. We at the Nyeri Kindergarten believe that:
• Learning is a life-long process
• The school environment must be a safe and secure place for everyone
• Learning is a collaborative effort of students, teachers, parents, and the community
• The development of lessons and activities is relevant to students’ interests, needs, and future life skills
• Students should be prepared to be successful in a technological society
• A variety of teaching methods is designed to reach diverse student learning needs

We miss our little people! We feel lost without them. Please note that there are a number of learning links being shared on social media that will help with learning from home but Nyeri Kindergarten would like to encourage you to read with and to your children depending on their age. Also now that they are home, they have so much to say and as they are stuck in the house, take time out of your busy schedules to just listen. 10 minutes of listening makes a world of difference for them! And they have loads of interesting stories to tell too. Remember, they don't have their friends who they see every day to tell these stories. Keep safe.
