REASONS WHY THE EAGLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A SYMBOL OF COURAGE
it doesn't wait for permission to rise above the storm. It simply spreads its wings and trusts the wind to carry it higher. Watching this bird cut through the mist over these mountains reminds me that strength isn't loud; it's quiet, deliberate, and unshakeable.
We spend so much time pouring into everyone else our jobs, our families, our friends that we forget the one person who needs us most: ourselves. Self-love isn't selfish. It's the foundation that lets you show up fully for everyone else without running on empty.
"You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." That truth gets lost in the noise of daily life, but it's the first lesson every eagle learns before it ever leaves the nest you have to trust yourself before you can trust the sky.
Proverbs 4:23 says, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." That's the real flight plan. Protect your peace. Protect your energy. Protect the parts of you that make you, you because everything else you build in life stands on that foundation.
Some days will feel like calm skies, and some will feel like flying straight into the fog. Either way, the eagle doesn't fight the storm it uses it, rising on the very winds that would ground a weaker bird. That's the lesson: don't run from your hard seasons, let them lift you.
So today, before you pour into anyone or anything else pour into you. Rest when you need rest. Say no when you need to. Choose yourself, not out of ego, but out of necessity. Because you can't soar on empty wings. First, love yourself. Then watch how high you fly.
