♿STAFF CAPACITY BUILDING ON DISABILITY INCLUSION

On 17th June 2026, members of staff from The Nyamira National Polytechnic participated in a training on Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Inclusion in Education and Employment, aimed at strengthening inclusive practices within learning and work environments.

The training was conducted in partnership with Light for the World Kenya and focused on promoting equal opportunities, accessibility, diversity, and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in education and employment.

Key areas covered included:
✅ Understanding disability inclusion and accessibility
✅ Creating inclusive learning environments
✅ Supporting learners with diverse abilities
✅ Promoting equal employment opportunities
✅ Eliminating barriers to participation and success

The training reaffirmed the Polytechnic's commitment to fostering an inclusive institution where every learner and staff member is valued, respected, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
