Something new is coming. As more and more S.H.E. students graduate, get jobs, and return to their communities, they are transforming their families, their neighbors, and their whole culture. Throughout Maasailand, people are beginning to call this "The S.H.E. Effect”.
To spread the good news, we are creating a series of short videos on “The S.H.E. Effect”. They tell the real stories behind the scholarships: the students, the choices they've made, and the ripple effects that are changing their families and communities.
Watch this space. It's launching soon.
“Even if I’m only one in my area, S.H.E. has planted a seed there that will raise and change the whole community. S.H.E. will touch a hundred people through me. In some years to come every village will have a doctor, a teacher, a lawyer. And it will be the fruits of S.H.E..”
~ Joelil, a law student
The S.H.E. Fund provides post-secondary scholarships to young women who have been at risk in their communities for harmful traditional practices such as FGM/C, Early Forced Child Marriage, and the denial of a girl's right to education. S.H.E. students are becoming changemakers in their communities. Sponsor a student's education → https://zurl.co/ObKSd
