PROGRAMS TO IMPROVE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN SCHOOLS IN 2026.
1. The Vidambu's Content Retention Rule.
It states that content delivery is directly proportional to content retention so long as there is a consistent increasing change in content mastery over time.
2.The 90:30 Rule.
This is a Mathematics study rule that says when the students are having personal studies for two hours per session, the first 90 minutes should be used for discussion of a particular topic and the remaining 30 minutes for individual topical assessment test.
3. The 45:45:30 Rule.
This is an English study rule that says that when students are studying English during their individual study time, the first 45 minutes should be used for doing setbooks, the next 45 minutes should be used for studying a different learning area in English and the remaining 30 minutes should be used for individual topical assessment test.
4. Monday Academics Rule.
The rule states that all Monday morning assemblies should be used for academic matters whereby the Academic secretary, the DoS, Deputy academics and the Principal talk about academics only.
5. Friday Discipline Rule.
The rule states that all Friday morning assemblies to be used for discipline matters whereby the discipline secretary, the HoD G&C, Deputy admin and Principal talk about discipline status of the school.
6. Evening Daycare Rule.
This rule states that before the students go to sleep, they should utilise the last 1 hour skimming and scanning through everything that the teachers taught them in that day in all the subjects.
7. 10:6:8 Rule.
The rule states that during holidays, at home, daily, the student should sleep for 10 hours, study for 6 hours and use the remaining 8 hours for doing other constructive things e.g helping parents, doing house chores or doing assignments.
8. 9:5 Rule.
This rule dictates that teachers should have utmost 9 hours for teaching students in a day and students should have atleast 5 hours daily
