There is a fire in every young heart,
a dream waiting to be nurtured,
a voice waiting to be heard,
a purpose waiting to unfold.

This International Youth Week, we celebrate young people not for what they may become someday, but for who they are today: powerful, brilliant, resilient and full of possibility.

We believe in giving them more than opportunities.
We give them life skills to navigate life, mentors to walk beside them, and leadership spaces to shape the world they inherit.

Because when a young person discovers their voice, they begin to rewrite their story..When they believe in their potential, possibility takes root. And when we invest in their purpose, entire communities rise.

Today, we proudly join all Kenyans in celebrating Madaraka Day, a day that commemorates our nation's journey toward self-governance, freedom, and self-determination.

As we reflect on the sacrifices and resilience of those who paved the way for our independence, we are reminded of our collective responsibility to build a more inclusive, equitable, and empowered society for all.

At World Mirror Initiative, we remain committed to advancing dignity, health, education, and opportunities for young people and communities across Kenya. Together, we can create a future where every individual has the chance to thrive and contribute to national development.

Last week, World Mirror Initiative had the privilege of participating in the Global Menstrual Health Day celebration held at D.E.B Primary School under the theme โ€œItโ€™s Bloody Hot, No Time to Rest!โ€

The event created an important platform to engage learners and the community on menstrual health and hygiene management, reproductive health, mental health, and life skills education. It was inspiring to see different stakeholders come together to champion dignity, confidence, and empowerment for girls.

At World Mirror Initiative, we believe that access to menstrual health education and support is key to ensuring girls stay in school and achieve their full potential. We are proud to have been part of this impactful initiative and appreciate all partners and organizers who made the event a success.

Together, we continue working towards a where no girl is left behind.

At World Mirror Initiative, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to see their potential clearly and turn it into purpose.

Day One of the Laikipia County program marked an inspiring start as we engaged youth through the storytelling curriculum (KICD approved). In todayโ€™s fast-changing world, life skills are no longer optionalโ€”they are essential.

Through our collaboration with Drawing Dreams Initiative and with support from , we are equipping young people with practical skills in:
๐Ÿ’ก Communication
๐Ÿ’ก Problem-solving
๐Ÿ’ก Leadership
๐Ÿ’ก Resilience
๐Ÿ’ก Entrepreneurship

By using storytelling as a powerful tool, youth are gaining confidence, discovering their voices, and learning how to transform their ideas into meaningful action. This is more than trainingโ€”itโ€™s about shaping a generation that is ready to lead, innovate, and create opportunities beyond the classroom.

Together, we are building a future where young people donโ€™t just dreamโ€”but act.

We are proud to witness the launch of a powerful youth-focused initiative by World Mirror Initiative in partnership with Drawing Dreams Initiative.

The Life Skills Building Mentorship marks their first collaboration, aimed at empowering young people in JuaKali and the wider Segera community. Through interactive sessions on storytelling for change, personal development, and essential life skills, this initiative is creating a platform for youth to build confidence, share their voices, and shape their futures.

As the program kicks off, it sets the tone for continued mentorship and skills development, fostering growth, creativity, and resilience among young people.

We celebrate this partnership and its commitment to investing in the potential of youth.
