World Environment Day | Planting for the Future

Our World Environment Day activities continued with a tree planting initiative aimed at planting 105 trees within the school grounds.

We were honoured to be joined by the VOC Women's Wing Nakuru, alongside our dedicated Eco Club, Red Cross and Scouts, as well as student representatives from both the Junior and Senior Schools.

Beyond planting trees, the day served as a reminder of the role each of us plays in protecting and preserving our environment. Through collective action, we can create greener spaces and a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful initiative. πŸŒ±πŸ’š

🌱🌍 World Environment Day

Today, our Early Years learners marked World Environment Day in a meaningful way by planting trees around their school.

Each class took part, with every learner contributing to a small act that will have a lasting impact on our environment. It was a wonderful opportunity to teach stewardship, responsibility and the importance of caring for the world around us.

This is just the beginning, with the rest of the school set to continue the initiative later today. πŸŒ³πŸ’š

What better way to celebrate our planet than by helping it grow?

🎨Creativity beyond the canvas.

Our Senior School art students have been working on a mural project, transforming part of the school environment into a vibrant expression of creativity and imagination.

More than just adding colour to a wall, the project allows learners to collaborate, showcase their artistic talents and contribute to the character of the spaces they learn in every day.

A wonderful example of how creativity can leave a lasting impact. πŸ‘

We join the nation in mourning following the tragic loss of young lives at Utumishi Girls Academy.

Our hearts are with the students, families, staff, alumni and the entire school community during this incredibly difficult time. We grieve for the dreams interrupted, the futures cut short, and the profound loss felt by so many.

As a school community, we stand in solidarity with all those affected and keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

May the departed souls rest in eternal peace.

Preparing for the next academic step ✨

Our Year 11 students recently took part in an A-Level Subject Selection Orientation aimed at guiding them as they transition into the next phase of their academic journey.

The session provided valuable insight into subject pathways, future opportunities and making informed decisions aligned with students’ strengths, interests and aspirations.

We appreciate the support and guidance from Cradle Education Centre, UniAbroad Educational Consultants and Gen1Up Africa for engaging with and mentoring our students during the programme.

These past months have reminded many of us that growth, progress and even hope sometimes require resilience.

As Joel Osteen reminds us, difficult seasons do not last forever. As a school community, we continue to encourage each and every of us to stay focused, hopeful, and consistent during these unpredictable moments, one step at a time.
