Skeletal fluorosis is common in areas where fluoride content in the water exceeds 4mgF/L. The Nakuru Defluoridation Company is a water quality programme of the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru. Since inception in 1998, its priority has been to research, develop and implement appropriate technology that would remove fluoride from water.
