🌱 BEFORE YOU BECOME A TREE, YOU MUST SURVIVE BEING A SEED

Many people admire the tree—its fruit, its shade, its beauty.
But they don’t understand the process.

A tree doesn’t start upward.
It starts downward.

Before anything is seen, roots are growing:

in darkness
through hard soil
around rocks
under pressure

This is the gravitropic life—when God is taking you deeper, not higher.

And many people misunderstand this season.
They think nothing is happening…
but everything is happening.

Because depth determines height.

Then comes the phototropic life—
when the tree begins to rise toward the light.

This is when:
hunger for God increases
alignment becomes clear
growth becomes visible

But hear this:
If you try to grow upward without growing downward, you will collapse.

Jesus revealed the mystery:
“Unless a seed falls to the ground and dies…” (John 12:24)

The seed must:
be buried
be broken
lose its form

Before it can become anything.
Even fruit carries a lesson.

A banana is:
hard when unripe
sweet when mature
but fragile when ripe

Meaning:
It’s not just hard to grow — it’s harder to remain mature.

Many reach a level…
but few sustain it.

So if your life feels hidden, heavy, or slow— don’t rush it.

You are not buried to be forgotten.
You are buried to be rooted.

And when your roots are deep enough…
your life will become a refuge for many.

🌿 Stay rooted. Stay aligned. Your season is working.

THE ESSENTIALITY OF THE COMING OF CHRIST JESUS.

Many people have been taught about salvation—the first coming of Jesus Christ, the atonement, His death, resurrection, and the redemptive work. But I come under the Lordship of Christ to begin with a deeper question: Why did Jesus come?

It is of great value to understand—have we truly partaken in the essentiality of His coming before we celebrate His death?

Brethren, this is a vast teaching. Join me for Lunch Hour Services from 14th to 16th April 2026 at Full Grace Church Nairobi.

..........As a teacher of the Word:......
Teaching is not about what I do as a teacher but what the learners does.
Most teachers have redefined teaching as “the coherent speaking of an adult located infront of a class to a passive gathering of people.” They believe their primary responsibility is to cover the material in an organized manner.
Or rather they think teaching is about as to what they do thus their focus is always upon themselves.
That is why many teachers leaving the room after covering their material thinking they have taught. So, its not covering many materials, manuscripts or learning materials but about what the learners do.
The focus should not be upon yourself but to be upon the learners.

SPIRITUAL MAPPER
Teaching: Strategic Warfare in the Spirit

Let me teach you something about spiritual mapping.

Spiritual mapping is the ability to understand spiritual environments so that when you pray and wage warfare, you do not fight blindly. It helps you travail in prayer and wage prophetic warfare using the Word of God as your arsenal.

Without spiritual understanding, prayer becomes emotional and carnal. But when you understand spiritual mapping, your warfare becomes intentional, prophetic, and strategic.

The Bible teaches that our warfare is not physical but spiritual (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, victory does not come from noise; it comes from spiritual positioning.

To understand this, look at the nature of the eagle and the snake.

Whenever an eagle fights a snake, it uses two powerful tactics.

1. Destroying the Snake’s Sight

The first thing the eagle tries to do is disable the snake’s sight.

When the snake cannot see the eagle, the eagle gains advantage. The eagle can position itself anywhere, while the snake becomes confused and vulnerable.

In spiritual warfare, this explains why negative spiritual forces attempt to monitor people. Monitoring is about information — because when an enemy can see your positioning, they try to react to it.

But when your spiritual positioning is hidden in God, the enemy loses clarity. They cannot easily determine where to strike.

This is why spiritual discernment and prayer matter. When your life is aligned with God, you are not fighting from a visible and predictable place — you are operating from divine covering.

2. Taking the Snake to Higher Altitude

The eagle’s second tactic is even more strategic.

Instead of fighting the snake on the ground where the snake is strong, the eagle lifts the snake into the sky.

In the air, the environment changes:

The snake struggles to breathe.
There is no ground to support it.
Its natural advantage disappears.
The eagle does not need to keep fighting aggressively. cont... Joe

The environment itself weakens the snake.

This is a powerful lesson.

Many people try to fight battles on the enemy’s terms. But spiritual wisdom teaches us to change the battlefield.

When believers rise spiritually — through prayer, wisdom, and righteous living — they move the battle into an atmosphere where darkness cannot function effectively.

The Lesson of the Eagle

The eagle teaches us the mindset of a spiritual mapper.

A mapper does not fight blindly.
A mapper studies the environment.
A mapper understands positioning.
A mapper knows when to engage and when to elevate the battle.

Spiritual warfare is not about shouting the loudest prayer.
It is about understanding the terrain of the battle.

Final Charge

Do not wage war blindly.

Seek spiritual understanding.
Use prophetic words and scripture as your weapons.
Position yourself wisely.

Because when you understand the map of the battle, you will know where to stand, when to rise, and how to overcome.

... **5. Impressionability Toward God**

Children are easily influenced. They absorb what they are taught.

That is why spiritual food matters.

When we feed on the Word of God, our minds are shaped by His truth.

**Joshua 1:8**
*"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night."*

The more we consume what comes from God, the more we grow into His image.

So when God calls us **children**, it is not an insult.

It is an invitation.

An invitation to remain teachable.
An invitation to remain humble.
An invitation to keep growing.

Because the greatest danger in life is not being called a child.
The greatest danger is becoming a person who **can no longer learn**.

As for me, I know something clearly.

Before God, I am a child.
And I am willing to learn at all times.

That is the posture that produces growth.
That is the posture that produces transformation.
And that is the posture that qualifies a person for greatness in the Kingdom of God. 🙏

Jesus Himself emphasized this truth.

**Matthew 18:3–4**
*"Unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."*

Notice that.
Greatness in God's Kingdom begins with becoming **like a child**.

So when someone calls you a child, do not immediately feel despised. The real question is: **What kind of child are you?**

Because being a child in the Kingdom has nothing to do with physical size or biological age.

It has everything to do with **mindset and spiritual posture**.

Being a child means:

**1. A Mindset of Learning**

Children are always learning.
They ask questions.
They observe.
They imitate.

A true child of God never stops learning.

**Proverbs 1:5**
*"A wise man will hear and increase learning."*

The greatest weakness in many adults is that they stop learning. But a child remains teachable.

**2. A Heart of Humility**

Children are not obsessed with status or titles. They simply come as they are.

That is why Jesus said:

**Matthew 19:14**
*"Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."*

Humility opens the door to God.

**3. Transparency and Accountability**

Children do not hide much. Their emotions, needs, and struggles are visible. They depend on others.

In the same way, God expects His children to walk in openness before Him.

**Psalm 51:6**
*"Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts."*

**4. Growth and Transformation**

A child is constantly growing. Their body develops daily because they receive nourishment.

Spiritually it is the same.

**1 Peter 2:2**
*"As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby."*

If a child does not eat, that child cannot grow.
If a believer does not feed on the Word of God, spiritual growth stops.

**BECOMING A CHILD BEFORE GOD**

Have you ever been belittled?
Have you ever been called a *child* and felt like you were being despised?

If that has ever happened to you, then this teaching is for you.

Many people feel offended when they are called children. They think it means they are small, weak, or immature. But in the Kingdom of God, the concept of being a **child** is not an insult—it is a spiritual posture.

Let me explain.

One day after His resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. The Bible records that He spoke to them in a very interesting way.

**John 21:5**
*"Then Jesus said to them, Children, have you any food? They answered Him, No."*

Notice the word He used—**children**.

Yet these were not small boys. These were grown men—fishermen, tax collectors, and adults who had families and responsibilities. Many scholars believe some of them were even older than Jesus Himself.

Still, Jesus called them **children**.

Why?

Because in the Kingdom of God, *childlikeness is not about physical age*. It is about **spiritual posture**.

Consider something deeper.
When Jesus was born, King Herod ordered the killing of young boys.

**Matthew 2:16**
*"Then Herod… sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under."*

Many children died in that massacre. Yet Jesus survived and later grew into His ministry. When He gathered disciples, some of them were already adults established in their professions. Yet He still addressed them as **children**.

This tells us something profound: **before God, maturity is not measured by years but by the heart.**

The Bible repeatedly calls believers children.

**1 John 3:1**
*"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God."*
