*Morning Devotion: Rise Up and Walk*
Scripture Reading: Acts 3:6-8 (NIV)
“Then Peter said, ‘Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.’ Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk.”
As we begin this new day, let's reflect on the powerful words, "Rise up and walk." These words were spoken by Peter to a man who had been crippled from birth. For years, this man sat at the temple gate, hoping for money from passersby. What he received instead was far greater than what he could have imagined—healing and restoration through the name of Jesus Christ.
There are moments in our lives when we, too, feel stuck—whether it’s physical, emotional, or spiritual immobility. Perhaps we feel weighed down by fear, past failures, or challenges that seem impossible to overcome. Yet, the same power that healed the crippled man is available to us today. God is calling us to rise up from our circumstances and walk in faith.
Sometimes, what we think we need—like the beggar who asked for money—may not be what we truly need. God sees the deeper need in our hearts, the healing that will transform our lives, not just in the moment but for eternity.
*Reflection:*
Is there an area in your life where you feel paralyzed or stuck?
Have you been looking for solutions in the wrong places, when God has something better for you?
*Action Step:*
Today, take a step of faith, trusting in God’s power to lift you up from whatever has been holding you back. Just like Peter reached out to the beggar, let Jesus take you by the hand and help you rise. Walk forward in His strength, leaving behind doubt and fear.
*Prayer:*
Lord Jesus, I come to You today acknowledging the areas of my life where I feel crippled and unable to move forward. I ask for Your healing touch and strength. Help me to rise up in faith and walk in the purpose You have set before me. I trust in Your power and grace to carry me through this day. In Your mighty name, I pray, Amen.
Let today be the day you rise up and walk with God’s strength!
Devotion: Love Never Fails
1 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV): "Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away."
---
In life, we encounter different types of love. The Greek language gives us four kinds:
Philia – the love between friends,
Eros – romantic passion,
Storge – affection like that between siblings, and
Agape – the unconditional, sacrificial love of God.
When we think about marriage, we often hope for a relationship built on a strong friendship (Philia), filled with romance and passion (Eros), and strengthened by family-like affection (Storge). But is this enough? While these kinds of love are important, they alone cannot sustain a marriage for the long haul.
The Foundation of Marriage: Agape
Marriage, at its core, is built on Agape—the unconditional, divine love that mirrors how God loves us. This is the kind of love that "never fails" (1 Corinthians 13:8). Agape is not dependent on feelings or circumstances. It is a love that chooses to remain steadfast, even when things get tough.
You might reach a season in your marriage where the conversations don't flow like they used to (Philia may seem absent). Or the romantic spark may not burn as brightly as it once did (Eros may seem distant). But those are not reasons for your marriage to fail. Agape is the foundation that keeps everything together.
Agape Love in Marriage
Selflessness: Agape is self-giving. It asks, “How can I serve my spouse today?” rather than focusing on what you’re not receiving.
Commitment: Agape is not fleeting or conditional. It stays when times are hard, when feelings change, and when life is challenging.
Forgiveness: Agape extends grace, choosing to forgive as Christ has forgiven us, even when it's difficult.
If Agape rules your marriage, it cannot fail. Why? Because Agape never fails. This kind of love withstands every challenge, every hardship, and every disappointment.
A Love for All Ages
Whether you are single, engaged, newly married, or celebrating decades of marriage, this truth applies. If you are a young person dreaming of your future marriage, let Agape be the love you seek to build your relationship on. If you're in the middle of a challenging season in your marriage, remember that Agape is stronger than any other form of love. It is the divine glue that holds you together.
Conclusion
1 Corinthians 13:8 assures us that true love never fails. No matter your age, whether you're thinking about relationships or reflecting on years of marriage, remember this: Agape love is eternal and unshakeable. When it is the foundation, your love will stand through every storm.
---
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank You for showing us the depth of Your love through Agape. Help us to build our relationships, especially marriage, on the foundation of this unconditional love. Strengthen us to love selflessly, forgive easily, and remain committed through every season of life. We trust that Your love never fails. Amen.

*The Spirit of Stephen*
*Scripture:*
*“But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God...”*
— Acts 7:55 (NKJV)
Stephen, one of the first deacons and the first martyr of the Christian faith, is a powerful example of unwavering faith and boldness. His story is a reminder that when we stand for Christ, we are never alone.
*Prophetic Insight:*
Just as Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, saw the heavens open and Jesus standing to receive him, so too does God prepare us for the challenges we face. The Spirit of God within us enables us to see beyond the immediate, into the eternal. You may be in a season where standing firm in your faith brings opposition, yet remember, you are not abandoned. The heavens are watching, and Jesus is advocating for you.
In your moments of trial, when it feels like the world is against you, gaze into the heavens with spiritual eyes. There you will see the glory of God and find the strength to endure. The Spirit of Stephen rests upon you—a spirit of courage, wisdom, and divine vision. As you step out in faith, God will give you the grace to stand strong, just as He did for Stephen.
*Prayer:*
Father, fill me with the same spirit of boldness that Stephen had. Open my eyes to see Your glory even in the midst of challenges. Let my life be a testimony of unwavering faith, bringing glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
*Reflection:*
Ask God to reveal to you where He is calling you to stand firm in faith. Trust that His Spirit will give you the strength to endure and the vision to see beyond the present into the eternal.
Delayed but not Denied
Luke 1:24-25
Some time later his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and did not leave the house for five months. Now at last the Lord has helped me, she said. He has taken away my public disgrace!
Being delayed doesn't mean being denied of what God has in store for you. And it doesn't mean that you are evil. Elizabeth and Zechariah were delayed from having children but later God blessed them. Hannah was delayed but later she was blessed. Abraham was delayed but later everything God planned to do for him and through him was fulfilled. Joseph was delayed with 13 years but later he achieved everything God had planned to do for him and through him. Jacob was delayed from being rich but later he became exceedingly rich. You might have been delayed getting married but if you don't give up,
God will bless you with a good husband or wife and a good marriage. You might have been delayed having children but if you keep believing God will bless you with children. You might have been delayed getting rich but if you keep believing and working hard God will make you exceedingly rich. You might have been delayed in one way or another, but if you keep believing and doing your part well, you will achieve everything that God has planned to do for you through you. God will remove everything that brings shame & disgrace & reproach and humiliation on your life
Be richly blessed in all areas and have a peaceful and a fruitful day
God Is There
Genesis 28:10-22
Vs. 20-21 Jacob fled his dysfunctional family in fear for his life Genesis:27:41-45.
When he stopped for the night, God revealed Himself to Jacob in a dream. "I am with you and will watch over you whenever you go," God told him vs 15. Jacob vowed, "If God will...give me food to eat and clothes to wear...,then the LORD will be my God."
Jacob made a rudimentary altar and named the spot "God's house " vs 22.
We are reminded that no matter where we run, God is there.
PRAYER: Father, You are the One I can always run to. Help me turn to You first. Amen.
God is a Great Giver
As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be proud and arrogant and contemptuous of others, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches, but on God, Who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. (1 Timothy 6:17)
Our God is a great giver. Giving is His nature. He delights in giving and blessing. He who did not withhold or spare even His own Son, Jesus Christ, but gave Him up for us all, He will freely and graciously give you and me all other things we need. If your victory, restoration, financial breakthrough, promotion, healing has delayed, be patient, God's delays are not denials. God is working behind the scenes for you. God will suddenly visit you. He'll perfect everything that concerns you. He'll give you His very best. He'll heal you. He'll restore you. He'll give you supernatural victories and breakthroughs. He'll elevate you. He'll richly and ceaselessly give and bless you for your enjoyment
Be richly blessed in all areas and have a peaceful and fruitful Wednesday
