The Kenya WSDC 2026 Adjudication Core are excited to release the next list of candidates for Phase 2 of IA Applications. We once again call on the debating community at large, to help us decide on the IAs who will help make Kenya WSDC 2026 an exceptional tournament.

After months of brainstorming, discussion, and testing, the Kenya WSDC CAP is delighted to announce this year’s prepared motions:

Round 1:
This House Supports Kenya's Special Economic Zones*
*For the purposes of this debate, Special Economic Zones include both Special Economic Zones and Export Processing Zones

Round 2:
This House Would classify all major organised crime groups as terrorist organisations

Practice your understanding of WSDC judging by completing this test and getting immediate, automated answers and feedback. This test is completely OPTIONAL and is not required for you to be able to judge at WSDC. This is purely a learning tool, and we hope judges take to utilising this avenue to improve their WSDC judging!

Additionally, members of the Kenya WSDC 2026 CAP are organising a live, online worskhop for Beginner Judges, this Saturday.

Details of the Live Workshop for Beginner Judges are as follows:
Day: Saturday, the 7th of March 2026

This is intended for beginner judges but judges of all levels are welcome. This live, online training is completely free. If you are a New Nation participating at WSDC, this would also be perfect for you.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the NEW NATIONS TRAINING PROGRAMME ahead of the World Schools Debate Championships — Kenya 2026! 🇰🇪🏆

This programme is designed to support emerging debate nations on their journey to WSDC, providing mentorship, guidance, and competitive preparation at the highest level.

📅 Programme Schedule:
🔹 01 March — New Nations Briefing (Zoom)
🔹 08 March — Start of Mentorship Programme
🔹 17–18 April — New Nations Tournament

🎓 WSDC SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN! 🌍🇰🇪

We are delighted to announce that scholarship applications for
World Schools Debate Championships — Kenya 2026 are officially
open!

💰 What the Scholarship Covers:
The scholarship will cover the $720 registration fee per debater,
either partially or in full. Please note: travel and other
associated costs are not covered.

📅 Key Dates:
🔹 01 March 2026 — Applications Open
🔹 31 March 2026 — Application Deadline
🔹 16 April 2026 — Decision Notifications Sent
🔹 23 April 2026 — Official Announcement of Recipients

✅ Who Can Apply?
• One application per nation, submitted by the Coach, Team
Manager, or National Organisation
• Debaters must be registered under Phase 2 National Team
Registration
• Priority is given to nations with recent or limited WSDC
participation history

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Nations whose debaters are applying should NOT
pay registration fees before the formal announcement on
23rd April. The Organising Committee will adjust fees
accordingly for award recipients.
