Faith is the substance that makes human life possible; without it, nothing in us can move.
My understanding of faith didn’t form in theory alone.
It deepened in a moment of darkness when I was just a boy.
One evening, my brother and I were sent to the shop. It was getting dark, and like boys do, we turned the walk into an adventure — pretending we were driving a car along the roadside. We were tied together by the same robe, and I was “the driver” that day, even though my brother was a little older.
Then everything changed.
I missed a step and fell straight into a deep hole covered with grass and shrubs on the side of the road. It swallowed me so completely that I couldn’t see the entrance above. My brother was pulled in by the robe and jumped after me, landing on his head and bleeding.
It was dark.
Silent.
Disorienting.
He cried out my name, afraid I was gone.
But inside that darkness, something rose in me — not panic, but faith.
A quiet, steady conviction that we would get out.
That help was possible.
That there was a way up.
Faith in each one of us fuels our very existence.
And faithfulness is what fuels endurance and resilience.
That moment shaped my understanding of both.
Faith is the internal substance that allows human beings to act, trust, hope, and make progress.
Faithfulness is the posture that expresses that substance through resilience, consistency, and endurance.
This truth sits at the center of the work we do at IRI Coaching.
Human transformation is not driven by strategies alone — it is driven by the substance that makes growth possible. People cannot rise without faith. They cannot heal without faith. They cannot change without faith. They cannot transform without faith.
Faith is the raw material of human development.
Faithfulness is the discipline that protects it.
When individuals embrace both, they become stable, Purpose‑driven, and capable of sustaining long‑term change.
This is the essence of the I Am Factor™.
This is the work at IRI Coaching.
And if you’ve overlooked this part of yourself, this may be the moment to reclaim it — it could be the missing piece your life has been waiting for.
