As we approach Easter, a time of deep reflection for Christians, we are reminded of the sacrifice, forgiveness, and grace that this sacred holiday symbolizes. May this season inspire us all to embrace these values in our daily lives. Let us take time to appreciate the love of those around us and share meaningful moments with our loved ones this Easter weekend.

What do you think is the future of education in Kenya? Will we have schools in 50 years?

So His Excellency, PhD, Commander-in-Grief, Slayer of Incompetence (except his own), has finally met his match—a school play.
Imagine earning a whole PhD just to lose an argument to teenagers with cardboard props. The same man who lectures the nation on competence is now teargassing students because a skit hurt his ego? Truly, academic excellence at its finest.
If this is how the “most competent” president responds to criticism, no wonder his leadership is going down in history—straight to the bottom.

Katunge, eyes sparkling with righteous indignation, informed Musyoki, "Trust is the bedrock of any relationship! You should never ever look through my phone!"
Later that week, while Musyoki was in the shower, Katunge casually unlocked his phone "just to check the time," and scrolled through his texts for a good ten minutes.
When Musyoki emerged, she greeted him with a serene smile. "Everything alright, dear? Just making sure we're both being completely open and honest with each other, you know?"

The Great County Assembly of Talking Points

The newly elected MCAs of Mchana Juu County gathered for their inaugural session. Expectations were… well, low, but hope springs eternal, especially when there are hefty sitting allowances involved.

First on the agenda, as announced by the booming voice of the interim clerk, was "Urgent Deliberations on the State of Our Beloved County."

Honourable Mheshimiwa Mama Furaha, resplendent in a new Ankara print that could single-handedly solve the county's textile deficit, rose to speak. "Mr. Speaker," she began, her voice echoing through the half-empty chamber (most members were still stuck in traffic caused by a sudden goat parade), "I would like to bring to the attention of this esteemed house the glaring issue of the dust on the third shelf of the county library. It is, I say, an absolute disgrace!"

Honourable Mheshimiwa Juma Power, known more for his dramatic entrances than his policy proposals, countered, "With all due respect, Mama Furaha, while I acknowledge the gravity of the shelf-dust crisis, I believe our immediate focus should be on the persistent rumour that the county's tea lady, Mama Njeri, brews her tea with water that hasn't been blessed by at least three different pastors. This, Mr. Speaker, could have dire spiritual consequences for us all!"

For the next three hours, the assembly devolved into a heated debate on the theological implications of unblessed tea water versus the existential threat of dusty bookshelves. Honourable Members passionately argued, pounded their desks, and occasionally broke into impromptu chants of their campaign slogans.

Honourable Mheshimiwa Wakili Wise, a lawyer who saw every issue as a potential lawsuit, proposed the formation of two ad-hoc committees: one to investigate the dust (with a subcommittee on the type of cloth to be used for dusting) and another to conduct a forensic audit of Mama Njeri's water source, including interviews with the aforementioned pastors.

Meanwhile, pressing issues like the dilapidated state of the local hospital, the lack of clean water in several wards, and the alarming increase in potholes that could swallow a small car remained unmentioned.

As the session adjourned, with no resolutions passed but plenty of hot air exchanged, one weary citizen watching from the public gallery sighed. "Ah," he muttered to himself, "another productive day of tackling the real issues facing Mchana Juu. At least the dust on those shelves is probably feeling very important right now."
