Day 1 in Nairobi
Connection. Culture. Community.

Our ISLC 2025 journey began with purpose and presence.

We paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian High Commission in Kenya, where we were graciously received by the Acting High Commissioner and the Head of Immigration—a reminder that leadership is always strengthened by diplomacy and national pride.

Later in the evening, delegates were welcomed with open arms by the Association of Nigerian Women in Kenya (ANWIK) at a beautiful dinner hosted in the elegant home of Chairlady Nneka Nne.

She didn’t just host—she poured into us.
During a powerful fireside session, she spoke on investing in personal and organisational growth through mindfulness—a grounding reminder as we begin this leadership retreat.

From national ties to sisterhood and strategy, Day 1 set the tone for depth, excellence, and meaningful engagement.

They don’t hoard ideas or compete in fear. They believe in collaboration, sharing, and lifting others as they rise.

4. Innovation Mindset

"What got us here won’t get us there."
They challenge outdated methods and embrace bold solutions. They lead with curiosity and are open to change.

5. Borderless Mindset

"The future of African education is connected."
They see beyond their city or country. They are open to global perspectives, continental collaboration, and cross-cultural exchange.

6. Collaboration Mindset

They value relationships, dialogue, and community. They come to listen, contribute, and grow alongside others.

7. Impact-Driven Mindset
