LIFE IS SPIRITUAL 4

The principle of sowing and reaping works in every area of our lives.

The enemy would like us to think that this principle only works in the area of finances only.

But every word, every action and every thought is a seed that we sow and we will eventually reap generationally.

Ps.109.17-18 Yes, he loved cursing, and it came [back] upon him; he delighted not in blessing, and it was far from him.

He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment, and it seeped into his inward [life] like water, and like oil into his bones.

David is talking of man who loved cursing and the curses came back upon him, as he cursed others, the curse seeped into his inward life like water.

This man didn't delight in blessing others and the principle worked in his life the blessing were far from him.

What he sowed seeped into his life but what he didn't sow was far from him.

Peter states it very clearly:
1Pet.3.9 - Never return evil for evil or insult for insult (scolding, tongue-lashing, berating), but on the contrary blessing [praying for their welfare, happiness, and protection, and truly pitying and loving them]. For know that to this you have been called, that you may yourselves inherit a blessing [from God - that you may obtain a blessing as heirs, bringing welfare and happiness and protection].

The only way we can inherit blessings is by blessing others, speak well about others, pray for their well being. It's a principle, it works when you work it out.

Principles can't be replaced by prayers, you can't curse others and then pray for blessings upon your life.

LET US TODAY PURPOSE TO BLESS SOMEBODY.

LIFE IS SPIRITUAL 2
Yesterday we established that everything around us and about us is first birthed in the spirit world before it can manifest in the physical.

Let look at our father of faith Abraham and his family.

In Genesis chapter 12 the bible says that there was a FAMINE (vs10) and Abram went down into Egypt and as he entered Egypt he said this to his wife.

Gen.12.12 -13 So when the Egyptians see you, they will say, This is his wife; and they will kill me, but they will let you live.

13 - Say, I beg of you, that you are my sister, so that it may go well with me for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.

Abram decided to lie about his wife because of FEAR, FAMINE AND THE BEAUTY OF HIS WIFE.

HOW ABOUT HIS SON ISAAC.
In Genesis 26 the bible say that there was FAMINE in the land.

Gen.26.1 - And there was a famine in the land, other than the former famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines.

So there was another FAMINE that was about to push Isaac down to Egypt.

Gen.26.2 - And the Lord appeared to him and said, Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I will tell you.

ISAAC FACED THE SAME CHALLENGE LIKE HIS FATHER AND HE RESPONDED JUST LIKE HIS FATHER.

Gen.26.7 - And the men of the place asked him about his wife, and he said, She is my sister; for he was afraid to say, She is my wife - [thinking], Lest the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah, because she is attractive and is beautiful to look upon.

FOUR KEY THINGS COMES OUT ABOUT THE FATHER AND THE SON.
1. BOTH MEN FACED FAMINE.

2. THEY BOTH MARRIED BEAUTIFUL WOMEN.

3. BOTH SARAH AND REBECCA WERE BARREN.

4. BOTH MEN LIED ABOUT THEIR WIVES.

It seems that there is certain type of FAMINE that causes a father and later the son to want to go down to Egypt and also lies about their wives.

IT SEEMS THE BATTLE THAT THE FATHER DIDN'T WIN THE SON IS ALSO FAILING.

ARE THERE REPETITIVE PATTERNS IN YOUR FAMILY?

IS THERE A "FAMINE" THAT CAUSES MEN OR WOMEN IN YOUR FAMILY BEHAVE IN A CERTAIN WAY?

HOW ABOUT JACOB THE GRANDSON OF ABRAHAM?
In Genesis 25 the Bible says that he started fighting and struggling while still in the mother's womb.

Gen.25.22 - [Two] children struggled together within her; and she said, If it is so [that the Lord has heard our prayer], why am I like this? And she went to inquire of the Lord.

DURING HIS BIRTH THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED.

Gen.25.25 -26The first came out red all over like a hairy garment, and they named him Esau [hairy].

26 - Afterward his brother came forth, and his hand grasped Esau 's heel; so he was named Jacob [supplanter]. Isaac was sixty years old when she gave birth to them.

So Jacob was a SUPPLANTER which means:
one who wrongfully or illegally seizes and holds the place of another.
IT ALSO MEANS A LIAR, THEY OVERTHROW OR TRIP AND TAKE OVER.
A supplanter takes over or takes the place of someone else, usually on purpose.

IT LOOKS LIKE THIS THING ABOUT LYING IS GRADUATING IN ABRAHAM LINEAGE.

Eventually Jacob took Esau birthright and blessings through lying .

Gen.27.19 - And Jacob said to his father, I am Esau your firstborn; I have done what you told me to do. Now sit up and eat of my game, so that you may proceed to bless me.

Jacob run away and end up in Laban his uncle who was another SUPPLANTER he works for seven years to get Rachel but Laban gives him Leah instead, he had to work for another seven years to get his love Rachel.

Jacob says this about his uncle:
Gen.31.7 - But your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but God did not allow him to hurt me.

ALL THIS IS NOT A COINCIDENCE , THERE ARE SPIRITUAL FORCES THAT ARE AT WORK.

BOTH ABRAHAM LINEAGE AND SARAH LINEAGE THERE IS A TENDANCY TO LIE.

LIFE IS SPIRITUAL .
2cor.10.3 - for though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.

LIFE IS SPIRITUAL 1
One of the enemies deception is that life is physical, that what happens to us as individuals, families or nations is as result of either the mistakes or good actions of some people.

What happens in our life's is first and foremost birthed in the spiritual before it manifest physically.

Let look at the word of God:
Titus.1.12- 13 One of their [very] number, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, hurtful beasts, idle and lazy gluttons.

13 - And this account of them is [really] true. Because it is [true], rebuke them sharply [deal sternly, even severely with them], so that they may be sound in the faith and free from error,

Paul is describing a certain group of people and he agrees with one of their prophet that Creatans are ALWAYS LIARS, HURTFUL BEASTS, IDLE AND LAZY GLUTTONS.

HOW COME THAT A CERTAIN PEOPLE LIVING IN A CERTAIN GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION HAVE THE SAME CHARACTERISTICS?

HAVE YOU HEARD PEOPLE SAYS THAT KIKUYU'S, LUO'S, KAMBA'S, KENYAN'S OR TANZANIAN ARE LIKE THIS?

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? THAT THERE CERTAIN TRAITS OR BEHAVIOURS THAT ARE INBORN OR ASSOCIATED IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS.

There is a story in the book of mark 5:1-12
of a man who was possessed by demons and when Jesus commanded them to live they begged Him not to get them out of the region.

Mark.5.9 - And He asked him, What is your name? He replied, My name is Legion, for we are many.

10 - And he kept begging Him urgently not to send them [himself and the other demons] away out of that region.

WHY WOULD THE DEMONS BEG JESUS NOT TO SEND THEM OUT OF THE REGION?

THE ANSWER IS THAT THE DEMONS WERE FAMILIAR WITH PEOPLE IN THAT REGION AND THEY CONTROLLED BOTH THE PEOPLE AND THE ENVIRONMENT.

HOW COME CERTAIN STREETS IN A CITY ARE ASSOCIATED WITH CERTAIN BUSINESSES?

HIS PRESENCE MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE.

There is a level of God presence on an altar, a son or daughter of God can carry that makes them a no go zone for the devil.

I heard this testimony about Bishop David Oyedepo that one day he was brought a demon possessed person and he told those that had brought him to get him in his car to see whether those demons would dare to enter, the man was totally delivered. His car was an altar

God's presence in the car and the authority that the servant of the Lord yield was too much for the devil.

The bible says this about the children of Israel:

Ps.114.1
When Israel came forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language,

2 - Judah became [God 's] sanctuary (the Holy Place of His habitation), and Israel His dominion.

3 - The [Red] Sea looked and fled; the Jordan [River] was turned back.

4 - The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs.

5 - What ails you, O [Red] Sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back?

6 - You mountains, that you skip like rams, and you little hills, like lambs?

7 - Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

8 - Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

God's presence made the red sea to flee and Jordan to turn back.

The mountains skipped like rams and little hills like lambs.

May every red sea flee before you today.
May the Jordans turn back.
May the mountains and hills skip and flee before you.

Knowing Him in time of fellowship in His Word, meditation and praise and worship increases His presence in our lives.

Judah mean praise
Israel mean he will rule like God.

His praise brings His presence

His presence make us rule like Him.

UNDERSTANDING WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST.

Our identity determine everything, we unconsciously behave or perform from our identity.

We can't rise beyond our identity, we can't perform beyond our identity.

Identity is the picture we hold of
ourselves, it's how we see ourselves
We can't possess beyond our identity.

The bible says in Proverb 23:7 As a man think in his heart so he is.

One of the thing that the enemy hate and detest after salvation is us knowing who we are in Christ.

Satan knows that when we begin to walk in who we are in christ ,his kingdom will be in trouble.

The enemy is happy with ignorant religious christians.

There is a story in the book of Acts about sons of Sceva who tried to cast out an evil spirit and this was the response.

Acts.19.15 - But [one] evil spirit retorted, Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?

Anytime you want to achieve something or do something this age old question will be asked.
But who are you?

By His grace I will try to look at who we are in christ.

THE BEAUTY OF GRACE
Gal.3.20 - Now a go-between (intermediary) has to do with and implies more than one party [there can be no mediator with just one person]. Yet God is [only] one Person [and He was the sole party in giving that promise to Abraham. But the Law was a contract between two, God and Israel; its validity was dependent on both].

The old testament was a contract between two, both parties were obligated to fulfil certain requirements for it to work, that why Deuteronomy 28:1 If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

The blessings were dependant on them doing the commandments.

The new covenant is based on what Christ did for me not what I can do for Him or God,
Eph.2.8 - For it is by free grace (God 's unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ 's salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;

The only work required for a new testament is to believe in Christ and His finished work on Calvary, we enter rest by believing that IT IS FINISHED.

WELCOME TO HIS REST.

We are inviting all the single parents, widows and widowers for the great moment of fellowship.

We are living in very interesting times, God is up to something great, glorious and marvelous but the enemy is trying to distract us.

There is great glory about to be manifested, in the midst of lockdown God is building His Church and the gate of hell shall not prevail against it.

From the natural point of view it's like the church is corned but behind the scene great works is going on.

For two days it looked like the devil had won but behind the scenes our salvation was being worked out and on the third day Christ rose up in glorious manner.

Romans 8:19
The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters!

The true sons of God are about to be manifested in power and authority, we are about to see the greatest move of God, ordinary believers without titals or positions will begin to move in His power.

The church influence and impact will be felt in the market place in greater way bringing in greater harvest into the body.

God is bringing down the walls that have divided us and fulfilling Jesus prayer for us.

John:17:20-21
[20] Jesus Prays for You
“And I ask not only for these disciples,
but also for all those who will one day
believe in me through their message.
[21] I pray for them all to be joined together as one
even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one.
I pray for them to become one with us
so that the world will recognize that you sent me.

Light shines brighter when it's dark, we are the light of the world, a city on a hill.

Take time to grow your roots into Him, grow in your knowledge of who you are in Him, don't focus on the distraction.

GROWING INTO SONSHIP
1Cor.9.21 - To those without (outside) law I became as one without law, not that I am without the law of God and lawless toward Him, but that I am [especially keeping] within and committed to the law of Christ, that I might win those who are without law.

Paul the apostle of grace is teaching and he mention a great truth for New Testament believer, THE LAW OF CHRIST.

In the Old Testament there was THE LAW OF MOSES but in the New Testament we have THE LAW OF CHRIST, which is the law of Christ?

Matt.22.36-40 Teacher, which kind of commandment is great and important (the principal kind) in the Law? [Some commandments are light - which are heavy?]
And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).
This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment.
And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself.
These two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets.

Christ introduced THE LAW OF LOVE, every other laws are summed up in this law, when we love God with all that we are and have we SHALL LOVE WHAT GOD LOVES, GOD LOVES PEOPLE.

Paul summarised and expounded this law in 1cor 13:1-9, Love should be our driving force in everything we do, Love drove God to give us Himself in Jesus Christ, the Bible says that He was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.

2Cor.5.19 - It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).

The new creation is a creation of love, let us love because that our new nature.

GROWING INTO SONSHIP
Num.25.1-2 While the Israelites were camped at Acacia, some of the men defiled themselves by sleeping with the local Moabite women. These women invited them to attend sacrifices to their gods, and soon the Israelites were feasting with them and worshiping the gods of Moab.

Balak had hired Balaam to curse the children of Israel but after trying in three different positions, Balaam just blessed them because he couldn't curse that which God had blessed. (Numbers 22-24)

But because he loved money and wanted to be paid, (2 Peter 2.15 They have wandered off the right road and followed the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved to earn money by doing wrong.)
He gave King Balak a trick of getting the children of Israel into trouble with their God.

Rev.2.14 - Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: you have some people there who are clinging to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to set a trap and a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, [to entice them] to eat food that had been sacrificed to idols and to practice lewdness [giving themselves up to sexual vice].

Balaam taught Balak how to trap the the sons of Israel and he succeeded because, 24,000 died because of this trap, (Numb 25:9).

The enemy still uses the same trick and trap today, he knows that we are blessed and Jesus Christ took the curse but if we open doors in our lives he can ravage us and cause destruction.

The moabites women enticed the sons of Israel to sin against God, the enemy still use the same trap, he entice Christians.

When we willingly fall into his trap it doesn't change our position as children of God but it gives the enemy authority in that area.

1Cor.9.27 - But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit].

GROWING INTO SONSHIP
Num.23.19-24 God is not a man, that he should lie. He is not a human, that he should change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
I received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot reverse it!
No misfortune is in sight for Jacob; no trouble is in store for Israel. For the LORD their God is with them; he has been proclaimed their king.
No curse can touch Jacob; no sorcery has any power against Israel. For now it will be said of Jacob, `What wonders God has done for Israel!'
These people rise up like a lioness; like a majestic lion they stand. They refuse to rest until they have feasted on prey, drinking the blood of the slaughtered!"

Balak had hired Balaam to curse the children of Israel for him, but this prophet made a profound statement: HE HAS BLESSED, AND I CANNOT REVERSE IT.

There was no room for a curse, the glory of God had covered them and protected them, unless they disobey God and opened the door for the enemy, the blessing kept the enemies away.

Gal.3.13-14 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."
Through the work of Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, and we Christians receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.

We are redeemed from the curse and has received the same blessing he promised to Abraham and his generation, as long as walk in love and obedience to God's word, we are covered by His glory and protected.

A Christian who walks in love and is lead by the Holy Spirit is safe and anyone who can try to curse such is setting themselves up against God.

There is danger when we as Christians backbite and curse our fellow brethren because we are setting ourselves up against their Father who has blessed them and we can't reverse it.

GROWING INTO SONSHIP
Jas.3.5-6 Even so the tongue is a little member, and it can boast of great things. See how much wood or how great a forest a tiny spark can set ablaze!
And the tongue is a fire. [The tongue is a] world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body and setting on fire the wheel of birth (the cycle of man 's nature), being itself ignited by hell (Gehenna).

our words are a compass direction pointing the direction our lives, marriages, children and businesses are going or taking.

Nations has been set on fire by words of a leader, nations has been blessed by words of their leaders.

Both God and the devil can do nothing on earth without a mouth piece or a man to declare it forth.

For Jesus to be born it had to be prophesied or declared by a prophet, for children of Israel to be delivered from Egypt God had to partner with Moses.

Hos.12.13 - By a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, And by a prophet he was preserved.

Moses and not God had to stand before Pharaoh and say let my people go.

Our words have creative power, they create our tomorrow, the Bible warns us against idle words and coarse joking, there no neutral words in the spiritual realm .

Prov.18.21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

Our confession will either produce life or death in the area we direct them to.

Let us speak life, prosperity, blessings and such good things.
