“It’s easy for us to step in and do everything for a child with special needs—because we assume it’ll take too long, they might make mistakes, or they may not manage the task independently.

But skills like packing and unpacking their own bag are essential building blocks of executive functioning. When these routines are introduced early, they teach responsibility, accountability and confidence.

Let’s remember: independence grows through practice, patience and trust. And NOW is the right time to start building these foundations.”

In my online session with Ahaana, Ahaana casually asked me why I am always looking for an adaptor to charge my laptop.

We explored why different countries use different plug points and how travel adaptors help us stay safe and connected while abroad. Using visuals and real-life examples, helped Ahaana absorb the concept well.

After 4 years of language and math sessions, concepts like global travel are becoming meaningful and practical.

Step by step, we’re preparing our young adults to contribute in a global, interconnected world with confidence.

🛒📱 Online shopping becomes much more meaningful when we break the process into simple, teachable steps — checking the origin, quantity, and price before making a choice, and then learning to complete a safe online payment.

🔐 Remembering password safety is just as important as the purchase itself.

With patience, structure, and repeated practice, our learners can gain confidence and independence in every step!

Stay tuned to see what we did with the items that we purchased 👀

Hi everyone, after the success of our first two events in August, another fun social event for young adults with special needs is just around the corner, where art and movement will yet again become the language of friendship.

Facilitated by Meghna Visaria (special needs educator), each session is designed to foster social interaction, confidence, independence and fun.

*14th Dec, Sun - Sports and Movement* with RS Academy (Andheri W) 🏏
*17th Dec, Wed - Visual Art* with Urvi Sethna 🫟 (Fort)
(Age of participants - 12+ years)

These powerful sessions will engage the body, emotions and social awareness of each participant, without relying solely on verbal communication.
