This is the time we all look forward to ....with a lot of anxiety on what baby needs to eat and what baby should not eat...let's start by looking at sure signs baby is ready......baby holds his head up, sits with support, expresses interest in what you are eating.he may also get cranky during breastfeeding periods.......are you a new mother??? Let's go through a weaning week journey and a few food menus for your LO....!!!!

Have you ever wondered when a baby is 10 months and you go......wooooow Shes so smart.....brain development starts in the womb....talk to your unborn baby, sing to them, read for them remember they can hear you...brain development is fastest during the 9 months of pregnancy.....don't be shy.... #9 monthsbondingtime

Sometimes baby cries and you cannot explain why.....So what do some of us do??? We just let them cry uncontrollably......did you know distress for too long can kill brain networks scheduled to develop at the time......did you know that this would affect them at a later age....they could become disagreeable, uncorporative sometimes even aggressive....So let's watch for these signs to avoid crying in babies ...restlessness, a frown, flailing arms etc..... At this age that's the only way to express themselves best 'tignoreyourchild.!!!!

Baby has a cough, it's only a cough or flu, I don't need to take her to see a doctor ...most mothers would say......how many mothers are guilty of this .......and self medicate on syrups like mmmh benylin???. How many are guilty of this......and did it cure baby's flu.....pliz share....!!!

Baby is down with a cold ....absolutely disheartening as there is nothing much we or the doctors can do other than prescribe fever control medicines etc....is your baby over 2 years old....try adding a few drops of menthol oil into her bath.....totally soothing for the baby and absolutely amazing results.

One of the things that put us down is when baby goes down with a bad cold......Before baby turns 1 the only thing prescribed is either pain killers to relieve pain and reduce fever just incase baby is coming up with a fever.......in the process we parents tend to self medicate .....most times we give them HONEY......anyone has success stories ......please share!!!!!

It's pretty cold this morning .....any idea why this baby could be crying....well it's pretty cold....be careful with baby....you don't want her catching pneumonia at this time...remember prevention is better than cure....if you sence the symptoms rush baby to hospital ....would you like to share some of the symptoms with other mums so we are all aware??

Is baby beginning to walk.......what a milestone .....for new mothers we highly anticipate the day baby will sit on his own......babies are different between 4 months and 71/2 months same babies should be able to sit on their own.....if baby is not sitting before this period no need to despair......before this time babies muscles are not fully developed so don't force them to sit before it's time!!!

'I am so angry mummy' even though baby can't quite express himself his face shows it all #2 Give discipline fairly....being unfair or exessively harsh can make your child retaliate In certain ways.....such as venting or directing it his younger siblings.if you have punished unjustly or excessively there is no harm apologizing to your little one.

Spare the rod ..spoil the child...absolutely true...not always does use of the stick work....So I decided to look for other ways to discipline my child.....I call it shopping for effective ways of disciplining your child.....these tips will help make obeying easier and discipline simpler..... #1 use words of encouragement...reward where you can.....

In Nairobi with the crazy traffic, your child has to be up pretty early to beat the traffic and be in school on time. Is everyday a battle to prepare your child for school ..??? Does he yell every morning or is he super excited to see what the day has in store for him......how do you react push him away and force him into the car to go to school?? Do you feel like he's trying your patience??? How do you handle the situation...

Baby is super obsessed with you. He will even follow you to the toilet......when leaving the house don't hide, or sneak out of the house so baby won't cry....learn to wave bye to baby and give him a goodbye kiss let him know you are leaving but you will return, he will finally understand that when mummy leaves she will always come back....
