We make patterns, we share moments

Nairobi Alumni Steering Committee back in October 2017 and more recently when their one year tenure ended in October 2018. The Nairobi Steerco was the first of its kind in Generation Kenya's history and it was formed to provide leadership to the vast growing community of the Generation Alumni. Their hard work, commitment and sacrifice has seen their success replicated across five regions in Kenya to make the Generation Alumni Association all inclusive.

Setbacks and failures are inevitable in life; no one is perfect, and we all fall on hard times at some point or another. But if we live so carefully to avoid failure, we’re also never teaching ourselves how to manage it effectively when we experience it. So when faced with adversity, it often overwhelms us and causes us to give up.

We understand and acknowledge the fact that all of us are struggling. We all want someone to tell us it's okay and comfort us. We all want the motivation and encouragement to help us navigate through adversities.

It’s hard to stay strong when you feel like giving up. It feels like your world is crumbling down around you, and there is no option out. The reason why we think like this is because we forget about the big picture. We focus on the minor things and not the major things that are important in our life.

Every day is a struggle if you have a negative mindset, when you are wallowing in pity and misery it is hard to see the good and the true potential that is inside of you.

Remember how Hungry for success you were when you first enrolled at the Generation centre, the dreams that were brandished in you after feeling like a failure for so long. As the new week starts, write a new page of the rest of your life. "Never give up when things get tough"
