A place for homeschoolers to make, explore and have a little fun along the way. 🌱

Each week, children get to try something new, from painting and drawing to craft, collage and everything in between. There’s plenty of room to get curious, experiment and see where their ideas take them.

And it’s about more than the finished artwork, it’s about building confidence, learning to look closely, sharing ideas, trying new things and enjoying the process.

A little bit of perspective, a little bit of tone, and a whole lot of experimenting. 🎨

This Friday, we painted a landscape at dusk and explored how light and colour can change what we see. Then came the fun part: making our own brushes using things we found in nature.

What would you see if you went exploring under the sea at night? 🌊

This week, we’re exploring how to paint an underwater scene at night, starting with the warm glow from a submarine and building up the darker tones around it.

Then it’s time to bring the scene to life with sea creatures, coral, seaweed and bubbles using acrylic markers.
