A glimpse of what life on the moon could actually look like.
NASA is showing off new renderings for a future lunar base where astronauts could live and work during long-term science missions as part of the Artemis program.
The planned habitat would serve as a hub for crews and robotic missions studying the moon while helping prepare for future missions to Mars.

Elon Musk has suggested a future idea where humans might be able to live forever by transferring or copying their minds into robots. This means a person’s thoughts, memories, personality, and sense of self could potentially be stored in a machine instead of a human body.
According to Musk, as technology improves, humans are already becoming more connected with machines in small ways. For example, we store memories like photos, videos, and information on phones and computers. These devices already act like an extension of our brains by helping us remember things and communicate faster.
He believes this process could continue to develop over time. In the distant future, it might become possible to fully copy what makes a person unique and place it into an artificial body or digital system. In this idea, a robot or computer could act like a new body for a human mind, allowing that “digital version” to continue existing even if the biological body is gone.
However, Musk also explained that this idea is still very far from becoming real. Scientists would need to understand the human brain in extreme detail. They would have to map every connection between billions of brain cells and find a way to transfer that information into a machine. Current technology is nowhere close to doing this, and experts say it could take many decades or even centuries, if it is possible at all.
Musk has also mentioned that his company Neuralink is working on brain–computer technology, but its current goal is medical. It focuses on helping people with brain injuries or paralysis rather than transferring consciousness.
Overall, while the idea of mind uploading is fascinating and often seen in science fiction, it remains highly theoretical. It raises big questions about identity, technology, and what it really means to be human.
