Should We Forgive Adultery?

Yes, if your partner is remorseful, give them another chance and trust them fully again. When they realize that you trust them again, they’ll do their best to prove trustworthy.

Forgiveness means forgetting - never again reminding them what they did. Forgiveness is divine - for God says, “And their sins I will remember no more” (Heb. 8:12).

Love does not remind one of failures. Love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). True love is unconditional. To truly love is God-like - for God is love (1 John 4:8).

Biblically, you have a right to divorce your partner because of adultery (Matt. 5:32 & 19:9) - just as God has a right to send you to hell. But love does not settle scores - love extends grace.

We forgive just as God in Christ forgave us (Eph. 4:32). Hypocrites are quick to stone the adulterer - but the righteous extend grace - they forgive as Jesus commanded (Luke 17:4).

You and I are not Jesus. We might not be able to keep forgiving adultery. But if your partner messes up once or twice, and is genuinely remorseful, ask God for the grace to forgive.

Don’t Share Your Wife With Other Men

I’m not talking about the so-called ‘open marriages’ - I’m talking about neglecting your wife - refusing to compliment her. Never telling her that you love her. Always criticizing her.

Many people today argue that they are not responsible for their partner’s affairs. This is partially true. But even the Bible says neglecting your partner can lead to affairs (1 Cor 7:2).

If a woman is emotionally wounded, she’s more vulnerable to a man who shows some care. The way to a woman is through her ears. She warms up to the man who keeps complimenting her.

Be there for your girl. Spend time with her. Be nice to her. Be kind. Listen to her stories. She wants to connect with you. Talk to her respectfully. And take her to cloud 9 every night, if possible!

Similarly, ladies, take care of your husband. There’re men who stray because of continuous neglect at home. Do your part diligently. Give him a reason to come home running after work!

I mistakenly sent 5K to a wrong Mpesa phone number. After thinking of a way to stop the person from withdrawing the money,
