Character Education Tutor (Female)

East Africa Character Development Trust (EACDT) is a registered charitable organization dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people through character education and sport. Working in partnership with schools and communities, EACDT equips learners with the values, attitudes and life skills they need to become responsible, resilient and productive citizens.

We are seeking to recruit a passionate, committed and suitably qualified female candidate to join our team as a Character Education Tutor.

Position Details
• Position: Character Education Tutor

• Reports to: Hub Leader

• Employment Type: Full-time

• Location: Assigned Programme Hub and Partner Schools in Nairobi

Role Summary
The Character Education Tutor will deliver engaging character education programmes that help children develop the eight EACDT character traits: Curiosity, Enthusiasm, Gratitude, Integrity, Optimism, Perseverance, Self-Control and Social Intelligence.

The successful candidate will use classroom lessons, learner mentoring, discussions, practical activities and sport to inspire positive behavior, resilience and leadership among learners. Working closely with schools, parents, colleagues and community stakeholders, the tutor will contribute to EACDT’s mission of transforming lives through character education.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming students and staff from Wymondham College to our Kawangware hub.

During their visit, they spent time interacting with our learners, sharing experiences, and seeing first-hand how Character Education through Sport is helping young people develop the values, confidence, and resilience they need to succeed in life.

The visitors also generously donated stationery to support learning at Kawangware Primary School and Kabiro Primary School, helping to ensure that more children have the tools they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Moments like these remind us that education extends beyond textbooks and playing fields. It is about relationships, opportunity, and inspiring young people to believe that their future is full of possibilities.

We are incredibly grateful to Wymondham College for their generosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to invest their time in our learners.

Leading with integrity, both on and off the field.

At Rhino Cup 2026, our coaches didn't just mentor young people; they also stepped into the role of umpires, demonstrating fairness, professionalism, and the values we teach every day through Character Education.

Their presence on the field is a powerful reminder that leadership is not just about teaching skills; it's about setting an example.

We are proud of our coaches for representing EACDT with excellence and inspiring the next generation through their actions.

From believing cricket was just an insect to competing at one of Kenya's most iconic sporting events. ❤️🏏🦏

Over the weekend, our young people proudly represented EACDT at the Rhino Cup 2026 in Ol Pejeta, showcasing not only their cricketing skills but also the character traits they have developed over the years — discipline, resilience, teamwork, respect, and determination.

Every run scored, every catch taken, and every smile shared is a reminder of how sport can transform lives and open doors to a brighter future.

We are incredibly proud of our boys and girls for carrying the EACDT spirit wherever they go.

This is more than cricket.
