In her keynote, Dr. Ngina challenged outdated notions of leadership tied to age, privilege, or position, instead calling for a new paradigm where competence, integrity, and courage define who leads. She reminded delegates and awardees that youth must not only be invited to the policy table as tokens of representation but should be empowered to shape, influence, and implement national and continental agendas.

Tribute from SMEGAfrica & AFCoL In Honour of Yerome Emmanuel Kunde Yekeke 🕯️🕯️
It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that Scholar Media Group Africa (SMEGAfrica) and the Africa Chamber of Leaders (AFCoL) join the people of Cameroon and the entire African continent in mourning the passing of Yerome Emmanuel Kunde Yekeke, aged 68 — the revered Captain of the Indomitable Lions during their legendary 1990 FIFA World Cup campaign in Italy. Captain Kunde Yekeke was more than a footballer; he was a symbol of African excellence, courage, and resilience. Under his leadership, the Indomitable Lions did not merely compete, they made history. The 1990 Cameroon squad, with iconic names like Roger Milla, Cyrille Makanaky, and Thomas N'Kono, took the global stage by storm, making it to the quarterfinals — a feat never before achieved by an African team. Their tactical finesse, athletic brilliance, and raw passion left giants like Diego Maradona awestruck and gave Africa an enduring sense of pride and identity. This moment in history was not just a triumph in football, it was a powerful assertion of Africa’s potential. The team, and especially Captain Kunde Yekeke, became a beacon of hope for generations of young African athletes who saw in them the possibility of greatness on the world stage. Their legacy is immortalized not only in record books but also in music and memory such as Pepe Kallé’s iconic hit, "Roger Milla," which celebrated this golden generation of African sport.
At Scholar Media Africa, we strive to tell Africa’s most inspiring stories, and Kunde Yekeke’s journey is among the most powerful, a testament to leadership, tenacity, and collective spirit. At AFCoL, we recognise such individuals as trailblazers who, through talent and purpose, helped redefine global perceptions of Africa and Africans. Kunde Yekeke's leadership stands as an example for all leaders — in sports, governance, academia, and beyond. As we celebrate his life, we commit to ensuring that his legacy lives on in our publications, leadership forums, and mentorship programs. We call on football federations, educational institutions, and continental bodies to document and teach the stories of such African heroes to inspire future generations. To the people of Cameroon, to the family and friends of Captain Yerome Emmanuel Kunde Yekeke, and to all who were touched by his life and legacy, we extend our heartfelt condolences. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire Africa’s onward march toward greatness.
Rest in Power, Captain. You will never be forgotten.
Signed,
Mr. Elijah Nyaanga Scholarman Snr.
Founder & CEO, Scholar Media Group Africa (SMEGAfrica)
Convener, Africa Chamber of Leaders (AFCoL) Nairobi, Kenya.

Scholar Media Africa Celebrates World Mother's Day 2025
Today, on this special occasion of World Mother’s Day, Scholar Media Africa joins the world in honoring the incredible women who have shaped lives, nurtured generations, and built nations.
Mothers are the heartbeat of society. They are the first teachers, the quiet warriors, the silent prayer warriors, and the backbone of families. From rural villages to global boardrooms, from classrooms to farms, their resilience, wisdom, and love continue to inspire and impact the world in immeasurable ways.
At Scholar Media Africa, we recognize the sacrifices mothers make to empower their children and communities, often against the odds. Many of the stories we tell, the leaders we feature, and the dreams we amplify have been sparked by the unwavering support and vision of mothers.
To all mothers—biological, adoptive, guardians, and mother figures—we celebrate you. Thank you for your strength, your courage, your love, and your role in building a better future for all.
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Scholar Media Africa.

Today, we grieve not just the loss of a man, but the pause of a voice that spoke so powerfully for a continent. Yet, his legacy will not die. It lives on in the pages of his books, in the minds of those he mentored, and in the institutions he helped build. We owe it to him—and to ourselves—to carry forward his dream with renewed passion and purpose.🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️

Research shows dodder seeds are often spread as contaminants in sugar beet, clover, alfalfa, and flaxseed, as well as by animals, contaminated soil on tools, and ploughs. Owing to the w**d’s resilience and rapid spread, questions remain about how it reproduces, its host plants, and its survival adaptations.

While notable achievements have been made, challenges still persist as many African countries still struggle with inadequate infrastructure, limited access to markets, and insufficient financial and technical resources. Furthermore, political instability and governance issues in some regions have hindered the effective implementation of agricultural policies.
