Is your strategy failing in slow motion? 🛑
Every leader knows the feeling. You roll out a new directive or a process change. You ask the team if they are on board, and you're met with nods, smiles, and a reassuring "Yes, we'll do it," or "Tutafanya!"
You leave the meeting feeling aligned. But weeks—even months—pass, and absolutely nothing happens.
What went wrong?
As our Lead Consultant, Jane N. Njenga, points out in her latest newsletter issue of From the Training Room, you didn’t get alignment. You got passive resistance.
Behind closed doors in our training sessions, we see this constantly. A rapid, effortless "yes" is often just a defense mechanism. It’s easier for a team to agree inside the room to avoid discomfort, only to let the project quietly die outside it.
As a leader, wouldn't you prefer a loud, constructive "No" right to your face over a silent failure? A "No" gives you raw data and a chance to solve real bottlenecks. A fake "Yes" just wastes everyone's time.
At Skillsgrow, we don't just teach leadership theory; we help teams build the psychological safety required for real, unvarnished communication that drives ex*****on.

I hear a variation of the exact same complaint from leaders in almost every single workshop I run: "I don’t get it. We rolled out the new strategy.
