💔 When Humanity Cries 💔
Human fragility… vulnerability…
The impossibility of possibility —
when life itself begins to deny.
May we never get used to this pain.
May our hearts remain restless
until peace returns. 🕊️
Two years of whispers, one answered prayer. Peace is the only way forward. 🙏🕊️
This is the Plaza Mayor in Madrid — built in the early 1600s, once a market, a bullring, even used for public executions. Now it’s alive with cafés, terraces, and people from all over the world.
Today in Geneva I was privileged to meet with Bishop of Sudan, H.E Tombe Trille Kuku, diocese of El Obeid. Though our time together was brief, his words left an unforgettable impression. He appealed: “Help us, guide us, lead us and pray for us.” He emphasized the urgency of inclusive dialogue, not waiting for powerful nations alone to speak for us, but using every channel available: embassies, friends, civil society. He lives daily amid uncertainty and danger, yet stands steadfast with his community.
Let us raise our voices in prayer and action for the people of Sudan: for safety, for reconciliation, for dignity, and for peace.
Madrid gave more than I expected — learning, laughter, and lifelong connections. ❤️
Loved every bit of it! Thanks to everyone who made it special.
chaud, chaud , chaud and go! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

As we prepare for the start of the conclave on May 7, here are several places to be familiar with.
1. Casa Santa Marta
Saint John Paul II designated the Domus Sanctae Marthae as the residence of the cardinal electors during conclaves.
2. Sistine Chapel
It is the seat of the conclave, where the cardinals vote behind closed doors. It is located in the Vatican Apostolic Palace, on the right side of St. Peter's Basilica.
3. St. Peter's Basilica
From his central balcony, the cardinal protodeacon pronounces the "Habemus Papam" and minutes later, the new pontiff imparts the Urbi et Orbi blessing.
4. Vatican Apostolic Palace
It is the official residence of the pope and is composed of offices of the Curia, the Papal Apartment (which Francis did not use), the Vatican Museums, the Vatican Library and the Sistine Chapel.
5. St. Peter's Square
During the days of the conclave, pilgrims gather to await the white smoke or 'fumata bianca, which announces the election of the new pope. Here they receive the Urbi et Orbi blessing that the chosen one imparts at his presentation.
