Magoha chairs key meeting following order on new CBC classes

The Ministry of Education has moved to implement a directive by the President that will pave way for the smooth transition of CBC pioneers to junior secondary schools in 2023.

Education Cabinet Secretary is leading talks with a multi-sectoral team that has been tasked with the implementation of an order issued on Mashujaa day to construct over 10,000 new classes to facilitate 100 pc transition for the Grade Six candidates set to join junior secondary schools at the national and county level.

•The CS said that the timetable remains as it had been decided earlier in the year and the school children will report as it had been decided.
•“By the grace of God the children will come to school the time we said they should come to school,” said Magoha.

Pronouncement comes despite President's directive that all schools stay closed indefinitely.

Machakos: School principal arrested for leaking KCSE Math exam

A principal of a school in Machakos County has been arrested for allegedly leaking the KCSE Mathematics Paper 2.

According to the DCIO, the principal uploaded the paper on her WhatsApp status on Monday evening, a day before the test.
