Meday did great with her first lesson, Su put her pillow cover together amazingly fast, and our youngest student Ilse got started on her tote bag! This was our last in-person class at The Happy Sewing Cafe for a while … taking a short break but will be available for virtual classes soon! ☺️

We have been talking about doing this stitch and bitch session FOR-EVER - and finally got together! Had so much fun today with - we didn’t finish anything but we got a lot accomplished! Grateful to have you in my life, my friend… can’t wait to do it again next week! 😆❤️☺️🧵🪡

This weekend was one of new beginnings and bittersweet endings (which are also new beginnings)… Aya completed her first cushion cover, and Ayon is plugging along with cutting out his shirt pieces…. But sadly brought me a bouquet of beautiful flowers and a gift today (lovely scented candles), as this is his last class for a while… he’s traveling to see his one sister in Manchester and then his other sister in Japan, and will stay there and work for a while… I hope he will come back to Nigeria for another lesson before we move in September … but regardless - we can always have virtual classes and I’m just one WhatsApp away when he’s got questions. Farewell for now, Ayon - you’ve been such a joy to have in my class and I wish you all the best. So glad we started up something with sewing… I hope you keep smiling and keep sewing! 🥲🧵🪡♥️💕🥰

I just love seeing those goals and plans come to fruition! Congrats to Sadie on finishing her circle skirt! It turned out so lovely! Well done. Makes me so proud to see my students create things because I also created the space for them to bring things to fruition!

So SEW proud of my baby girl Julia for finally sewing her own tote bag during her visit home over the holidays! And then just like that, it was time for her to go back to uni. She carried it on the plane ride back and is super proud of it and I am too! Magdaline, Anak! Mahal kita…
