Pay attention to these areas to build a successful business/brand

There are several factors to focus on when building a successful brand.

1. Quality Assurance:

How much attention you pay to the quality of your product will go a long way to determine how successful your brand or business will be in the long run. In Nigeria, the reason why many people will prefer to buy imported products rather than local ones irrespective of the price is the perceived quality disparity. Pay attention to details, aim for excellence consistently, don't underestimate the power of sub standard products even for once, its easier to lose customers than to gain them.

2. Tax Payment:

Always ensure proper auditing and prompt payment of tax no matter how small your business is. It may not be a big thing initially but financial responsibility pays in the long run as you never can tell when an opportunity comes up for you to bid for a contract or anything else and you have good tax records to show. You can stand a chance where other small businesses can't and compete with giants in the industry.

3. Corporate social responsibility:

No matter how small your business is, you can commit to contributing positively to your community. With a small percentage of your profit, you can organize or sponsor community out reaches or structure your business to be community inclusive, this will improve your brand image.
