With a Master of Science in Electronic, Electrical Engineering and Management and over 7 years of hands-on experience in high-voltage transmission design, construction, operations, and maintenance, Eng. Carol Ofafa has built her career at the intersection of energy, engineering, and strategic innovation. Her passion lies in rethinking risk, strategy, and the integration of distributed generation into modern grid systems.

Today, as the visionary Founder of E-Safiri, Carol is leading Africa’s transition to clean, accessible transport. E-Safiri is developing electric mobility charging infrastructure for two- and three-wheelers, leveraging Africa’s abundant renewable energy to build both solar-powered and grid-connected charging stations tailored for commercial mobility.
By tackling carbon emissions in one of the continent’s most impactful sectors, E-Safiri is enabling more affordable, efficient, and climate-resilient transport solutionsone charging station at a time.

Her groundbreaking work was recently recognized on the continental stage, with E-Safiri emerging as a finalist for the 2025 Africa Prize for Engineering and Innovation, receiving £10,000. This milestone celebrates the transformative engineering and IoT systems that Carol and her team are building to unlock a greener future for Africa.

Meet Mark Miruka, CEO and visionary behind Trove and an Anza Grow Academy alumnus. Mark is shaping the future of Kenya’s restaurant industry with an ambitious idea, a menu generation platform designed to help restaurants create and manage beautiful, fully customized digital menus in minutes.

Trove aims to empower restaurants to showcase their brand identity, update offerings in real time, and build a strong online presence without the need for developers. By simplifying digital transformation for restaurants, Mark envisions a future where every eatery, big or small can thrive in the digital age.

With a strong technical background and entrepreneurial drive, Mark brings two years of experience in tech and two years in launching and scaling ventures. His deep understanding of Kenya’s tech ecosystem fuels his vision to bridge the gap between technology and hospitality. Through Trove, he hopes to inspire a new wave of digital innovation, one that makes technology accessible, affordable, and impactful for local businesses.

Amos Kimani is the Co-founder and CEO of Tausi App, a platform redefining the beauty industry through innovation and empowerment. At Tausi, he leads with purpose, building impactful partnerships, creating opportunities for freelance beauticians to achieve self-employment, and ensuring access to quality beauty services across communities. His vision is driven by a belief in technology’s power to transform industries and livelihoods.

Before founding Tausi App, Amos was a member of the popular music group SOC Kenya. Emmanuel has built his career at the intersection of impact and growth, with experience at investment firms such as Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures and the Global Partnerships Social Venture Fund. He is passionate about the transformative power of capital in enabling early-stage companies to solve large and meaningful problems.

Previously at Lattice Consulting (Member of the Larive Group), Emmanuel worked on transaction advisory and project management across East Africa in sectors including agribusiness, healthcare, real estate, energy, manufacturing, and WASH. His diverse background makes him a valuable voice for founders eager to understand and access venture capital.
