Assessment isn't just about the final report.

The real insights come when you compare formative assessment (the learning journey) with summative assessment (the learning outcome).

When those two tell different stories, schools can quickly identify where intervention is needed whether it's supporting a learner, improving teaching practices, or strengthening assessment processes.

The challenge? Handwritten records make this kind of analysis almost impossible.

The CBC Appdigitizes formative and summative assessment records, making it easy to compare, analyze, and turn data into meaningful action.

Because assessment should do more than measure learning it should improve it.

The Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) transformed how children learn.

Instead of relying mainly on final exams, teachers now assess learners every day through continuous classroom activities. It's a better way to support every child's growth.

But it also created a new challenge.

Teachers now spend hours recording assessments, preparing reports and managing paperwork instead of focusing on teaching.

That's why we built the CBC App.

The CBC App reduces tasks that once took hours to just minutes, helping teachers and school leaders manage assessments, reports, lesson planning and school oversight from their phones or computers.

Less paperwork.
More teaching.
Better decisions.
Brighter futures.

Because when we make teachers more effective, every learner benefits.

Better Teachers. Better Schools. Brighter Futures.

Your learners don't stop needing support when you're away from school. Neither should your data.

Tracking every teacher's performance used to be a challenge. We relied on different software to summarize data, but it only showed one part of the picture. Professional documents also had to be reviewed manually, making the process slow and time-consuming.

With the CBC App, we can instantly monitor content delivery, teaching skills, schemes of work, and practical activities, all in one place.

Everything is now at the click of a button."

Over the past two episodes, we've explored two important ideas.

First, that every parent should be able to trust the school closest to home.

Second, that great schools often have more in common than we realise. strong leadership, effective teaching and systems that support learning.

But if we already have committed teachers and school leaders, why do so many schools still struggle?

One answer is that much of their time is spent managing administrative work instead of focusing on teaching, learning and improvement.

Teachers plan lessons, assess learners, maintain records, prepare reports and communicate with parents.

School leaders oversee curriculum implementation, support teachers and manage the day-to-day running of the school.

When these processes become difficult, opportunities to improve can be missed.

That's why we believe good systems matter.

Not because systems replace people, but because they help teachers teach, leaders lead and schools improve consistently.

This is the thinking behind the CBC App.

Because making the nearest school the best school isn't about creating a handful of exceptional schools.

It's about helping ordinary schools become more effective with the people and resources they already have.

What support do you think teachers and school leaders need most?
