Over the past two episodes, we've explored two important ideas.
First, that every parent should be able to trust the school closest to home.
Second, that great schools often have more in common than we realise. strong leadership, effective teaching and systems that support learning.
But if we already have committed teachers and school leaders, why do so many schools still struggle?
One answer is that much of their time is spent managing administrative work instead of focusing on teaching, learning and improvement.
Teachers plan lessons, assess learners, maintain records, prepare reports and communicate with parents.
School leaders oversee curriculum implementation, support teachers and manage the day-to-day running of the school.
When these processes become difficult, opportunities to improve can be missed.
That's why we believe good systems matter.
Not because systems replace people, but because they help teachers teach, leaders lead and schools improve consistently.
This is the thinking behind the CBC App.
Because making the nearest school the best school isn't about creating a handful of exceptional schools.
It's about helping ordinary schools become more effective with the people and resources they already have.
