We had a meaningful conversation with Ms. Hamisa Zaja, a committee member and Peace Ambassador with the Mombasa County Peace Committee.

Our conversation highlighted the importance of dialogue, collaboration, and collective responsibility in building peace, unity, and harmony in our communities.

Peace is not something we can achieve alone. It takes all of us; listening, engaging, collaborating, and choosing to be ambassadors of peace every day.

Today, our youth from the CRCP team joined the International Day of Peace celebrations organized by the Mombasa District Peace Committee.

The youth shared powerful reflections on peace beyond the offline space, highlighting the importance of digital peacebuilding, responsible online engagement, and countering harmful narratives, especially as Kenya looks ahead to the 2027 elections.

The key message of the day was:

“Invest in peace, everywhere, everyone, everyday.”

Peace is everyone’s responsibility. Let’s invest in it, every day.
