We’re Back! Welcoming Second Term 2026

The Moto Hope Centre is once again filled with energy, excitement, and joyful reunions as we begin Second Term 2026. It has been a delight welcoming back our learners and staff after the holiday break, with learners returning full of stories, laughter, and enthusiasm.

We thank God for His faithfulness in keeping us safe and bringing us back together. The term has started on a warm and positive note, marked by smiles, renewed friendships, and a strong sense of purpose.

We are also excited to welcome new learners joining the Moto Hope family this term and look forward to making them feel at home.

As always, we remain committed to educating the whole child through holistic nurturing, mentorship, spiritual growth, and quality education. Here’s to a focused and successful Second Term 2026!

What a joyful and exciting week it has been as we wrapped up Term 1! Our students were full of excitement as they prepared to head home after a vibrant week packed with co-curricular activities.

A major highlight was the Talanta Motohope Tournament held on 23rd and 24th, where our talented boys’ and girls’ basketball teams truly showcased their skills and determination. Football and volleyball were not left behind, adding to the strong spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship across the school.

During the closing ceremony, our pupils were recognized and awarded for their outstanding achievements in various categories, including academic excellence, best overall performance, exemplary behaviour, and exceptional talents. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them!

As we break for the holidays, we wish all our beloved students a happy and blessed Easter, filled with joy, peace, and renewal. To the entire Motohope fraternity, may this season bring you happiness and God’s abundant blessings.

Yesterday, our mentorship program held an engaging and age-appropriate session for learners in Grades 6–9 on S*x Education and Responsible Choices.

The session empowered students to make safe decisions, understand personal boundaries, navigate peer pressure, and build healthy relationships; all in a respectful and supportive space where they could openly ask questions and share their thoughts.

We remain committed to nurturing not just academic success, but well-rounded, informed, and responsible individuals.

As we wrap up the term during this Lenten season, we were blessed to celebrate a Holy Mass yesterday, presided over by Fr. Edward. The Mass was offered in thanksgiving as we prepare for the closing of the school, expressing our gratitude to God for guiding us through the first term of this academic year.

Additionally, 19 of our pupils received the Catechumenate (Hatua ya Pili), marking a significant milestone in their spiritual growth and journey of faith. We pray for God’s grace upon them as they continue to grow in their walk of faith, and we extend our warm wishes to the Moto Hope fraternity for a blessed and joyful Easter period.

Checkmate! Our Chess Club Shines in the Regional Chess Tournament! ♟️

On 7th March 2026, our talented chess players showcased their brilliance at the Regional Chess Tournament held at Lions Group of Schools, Nakuru.

A total of 36 of our students went head-to-head with the best in the Rift Valley region—and they didn’t just show up—they brought their A-game!

We are proud to announce that 31 of them have qualified for the Kenya National Youth Championship Competitions! 🏆

The matches were intense, exciting, and full of clever moves, showing just how much our students value critical thinking, teamwork, and healthy competition.

Congratulations to all our players – your hard work, dedication, and passion for chess have truly paid off!

Leadership in action! Our students participated in a successful and well-organized election through secret ballot, learning the true meaning of democracy and responsibility. Congratulations to our newly elected School President Solomon Kipkoech and Deputy President Victoria Mwangi, and all the cabinet leaders. The future is bright! 🌟

On 6th March 2026, our school successfully conducted the Student Body Elections in a well-organized and educative exercise that highlighted the importance of leadership, responsibility, and democracy among our learners.

Prior to the election, a civic education session was held the previous day to help students understand the voting process and what to expect. This session gave learners a valuable insight into the significance of leadership and democratic participation.

The voting process was carried out through secret ballot boxes, carefully labelled and managed by dedicated election personnel under the supervision of a teacher and a student. A total of 15 leadership posts were contested, each with a deputy position.

Candidates actively campaigned for one month, sharing their visions and engaging fellow students throughout the campaign period.

We warmly congratulate Solomon Kipkoech and his deputy, Victoria Mwangi, for being elected as School President and Deputy President. Congratulations as well to all the other Cabinet Secretaries who were duly elected.

We wish all the elected leaders the very best as they take on their leadership roles. May God’s grace and guidance be with you as you serve the student body and the entire school community.

As we began the holy season of Lent, our school community joined hands with the St. Jude Church community on Wednesday, 18th February, to celebrate a solemn and grace-filled Ash Wednesday Holy Mass in our school.

The Mass was beautifully celebrated by Fr. Benjamin Njuguna, who reminded us of the importance of repentance, love for one another, and sincere self-reflection on our deeds as we usher in the Lenten season. His powerful message encouraged us all to embrace this sacred time with humble hearts, renewed faith, and a deep commitment to spiritual growth.

May this Lenten journey inspire transformation in our hearts and actions, guiding us to walk together in faith, compassion, and unity.
