To those left KISE five years down the line,do you know that SEB code is dying gradually dying off, almost all Western countries are using UEB code which has numerous changes in contractions,,as teachers by profession,do we get enough to help us accommodate one of CBC pillar that is Digital literacy? Just to do comparison are we able to replace manual braille readers such as;
1.perkins braillers with braille 2000 with JAW windows.
2.slate and stylus with orbit-20 reader.
3. Talking laptops, phones with braille me Android app?
4. Manual use of abaccus which some are cancerous and harmful to our learners with Nemeth version??
Let KISE also improve on equipping tutors and also take them to other outside country for further workshops on current affairs since in Kenya we also have great TVI's who should be well equipped to attend to our learners with visual impairment.
That's not the case the issue here is the funding of the special needs education that's why I am here to assist,
Are you aware aware that Hardley institute of special needs has been offering free online special needs training leading to certification?
Do you know that upon carrying this certificate you can be a hot cake to any Western country regardless of your origin?
Do you know that many Kenyans are scooping alot of dollars by working online with American Printing House?
Let's not wait to be absorbed by TSC KENYA we can exploit other sources by having in mind that we have very few visual impairment schools in Kenya and in addition we should adhere to the fact that most Kenyan Universities are also offering some good quality special needs education limiting chances of KISE freshers to get priorities.
In the current vast research only P1 or ECDE employed teachers advancing to KISE programs are the ones enjoying.
