SEKU Hosts Intra-Institution Innovation Competition
Innovation took center stage yesterday at South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) as students showcased creative and impactful solutions during the Intra-Institution Innovation Competition, held under the NEIL Campus Spark Programme.
The competition brought together talented student innovators who presented ideas aimed at addressing real-world challenges in areas such as agriculture and food security, digital transformation and AI, climate action and green innovation, and health and wellbeing. The winners will now represent SEKU at the inter-university competition, where they will compete against outstanding innovators from universities across the country.
Speaking during the event, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic, Research and Innovation), Prof. Harrison Maithya, reaffirmed the University's commitment to fostering a vibrant innovation ecosystem. He assured participants of SEKU's continued support in nurturing innovative ideas, research, and entrepreneurship, encouraging students to transform their concepts into sustainable solutions with societal impact.
Congratulations to all participants and best wishes to our winning team as they prepare to represent SEKU on the national stage.
