Every child deserves the opportunity to run, explore and discover their talents.
At St Anne’s Academy Kiminini, learning goes beyond the classroom walls. Through athletics, ball games and our modern school swimming pool, we nurture learners academically, physically, socially and emotionally.
We believe that true education develops both the mind and the body. On the field, learners build teamwork, discipline, resilience and confidence. This are values that prepare them for success in school and in life. Every race run, every game played and every swimming lesson attended shapes stronger, healthier and happier children.

HOMEWORK MISTAKES PARENTS SHOULD AVOID
Homework time should build confidence, discipline and independent learning in children. However, some common parenting habits may discourage learners instead of helping them grow. Here are a few mistakes parents should avoid while supporting their children at home:
1. Shouting when the
child is slow.
Every learner understands at their own pace. Patience, encouragement and calm guidance help children gain confidence and improve gradually.
2. Giving answers
immediately.
Allow the child to think, try and make an effort first. Learning becomes more meaningful when children discover answers on their own with proper guidance.
3. Allowing too much
screen time before
homework.
Television and phones can easily distract learners. Create a quiet and focused study environment to help children concentrate better.
4. Comparing children
with others.
Each child is unique and grows differently. Comparing learners may lower their self-esteem instead of motivating them.
5. Doing homework for the child.
Parents should guide, explain and encourage — not complete the work for the child. Homework helps children develop responsibility and problem-solving skills.
When parents support learning positively, children become more confident, disciplined and successful both in school and in life.
Together, let us nurture independent learners and future achievers.
