KMTI Student Story – Pastor John Garang

Pastor John Garang carries a painful past. As one of the Lost Boys of South Sudan, he witnessed unimaginable loss that left him struggling with unforgiveness.

Through his time at KMTI, God’s Word transformed his heart. He came to understand that we cannot claim to love God while holding hatred toward our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness became part of his testimony—and his ministry.

Pastor Damian has a heart for evangelism.

For a long time, he went out on his own—passionate about helping people know Jesus and hoping to see immediate results.

But through his time at KMTI, his perspective shifted. He realized that transformation is not his work alone—it is the work of the Holy Spirit.

Now, he continues to evangelize with a deeper understanding, trusting God to move in His timing.
