⚽️ Recently, students from Ololturot had the chance to participate in inter-school ball competitions including netball, volleyball, and soccer. These friendly competitions help students build their teamwork, collaboration, and confidence skills even when they're not in uniform and on the field.

We're proud to see them participating in activities that help improve valuable life skills, and look forward to seeing how they continue to grow!

Fun in the sun with arts and crafts! ☀️🎨

Our Intimigom 3rd grade students recently took their creativity outdoors, spending time experimenting with paint colors and eggshells during a hands-on art lesson in the sunshine. Imagination was on full display as students mixed colors and enjoyed a well-deserved break from their regular classroom routine. 💙

At TKP, our students take their studies seriously, but we also believe that joy, play, and humor are essential parts of learning.

We know that students are most engaged and focused when they feel supported and comfortable. That's why our entire community, from administrative staff and teachers to healthcare providers and other dedicated supporters, works together to create an environment where students can feel at ease and like themselves.

In rural Kenya, fewer than 25% of women who have ever attended school go on to complete high school or a secondary technical education, according to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS). This is why some of the most important work we do at TKP centers on supporting the women and girls in our community, from students and teachers to staff members and administrators.

Fortunately, that trend is beginning to change. In Kilgoris, we are committed to ensuring that female students have access to proper resources, including health services, to support their unique needs, and in turn helping them overcome barriers to education.

Preparing students for the future means embracing innovative tools that enhance learning in the classroom. As part of our STEM education programs, TKP utilizes Kindles to provide the latest reading material in both Kiswahili and English to our students through a 15-year partnership with Worldreader. 📚✨

Since the start of our partnership, students have received improved access to textbooks and TKP teachers have reported increased enthusiasm for reading, greater classroom engagement, and stronger test results! 🎉

So far this year, our students have been hard at work in the classroom and busy exploring new activities, soaking up knowledge while still making plenty of time for play. We're excited to see all they'll accomplish in the months ahead and look forward to sharing more updates from our campuses in the coming months.

📚 Teachers form the heart and soul of our mission.

Everyday, our educators are faced with the responsibly of caring for the young minds that will change the future. We're so proud to watch them continuously rise to the challenge, and to commit their energy to fostering a caring, compassionate, and supportive environment within their classrooms. Seeing our students grow to become more engaged and comfortable with each passing day is the highest possible reward. 💛

Who says learning can’t be fun? 🤔

School may be a place where students come to grow intellectually, but we know it's also where they explore, create, and enhance their life skills. This focus on supporting well-rounding student development is why, in addition to a rigorous educational curriculum, we offer programs like soccer, poetry, cultural dance, scouts, and photography for our students! 📸

☀️ Each year, more than 230 primary school students participate in our unique enrichment programs, and that number continues to grow! We LOVE being able to provide these fun and meaningful opportunities at TKP. ❤️

💪 Mission accomplished...almost!

💡 DYK: We are in the midst of a multi-year effort to grow each of our campuses into Junior Secondary Schools (JSS). Last year alone, we were able to successfully expand four JSS locations on six campuses. This expansion brings our education footprint to 16 total schools. 🤩

We still have more work to do, but we want to take this moment to recognize and celebrate how far we've come. Most importantly, we want to extend our sincerest gratitude to our generous supporters.
